Default okay, I'm serious and starting again!

Hi,

Hope everyone is having a good day

I'm starting my healthy eating plan again. This time is going to be different. I'm just going to DO IT!!! If I slip up, I'm starting right over again, and not getting discouraged.

I think it will be different this time because my HUSBAND is doing it with me I went to a doctor's appointment with him Thursday, and (well, it's no surprise) the doctor recommended he should at least lose fifty pounds. He's been overweight his whole life, and understands the struggle.

So, I think together we can really help each other. I'm good at cooking low fat and figuring out healthy serving sizes. He's good at sticking to exercising. Hopefully we can do it together.

Wish me luck!
Sherry

Congrats on not giving up and trying again! Dont forget that men even though overweight have more muscle than we do and tend to lose weight faster on average. Its good he is doing it with you so you wont have to worry about him trying to sabatage you!

Yahhhh!! Good for you. I wish you all the luck in the world!! I know you can do this. You mentioned that if you slip up you are going to start right over again. I think that's key. None of us are perfect, but if we keep at it, eventually we'll get there!!

Default thank you

Hi,

Thank you all for your encouragement! Things have been going pretty well. I had a few slip ups (already!), but went right back on program-eating more fruits and veggies, drinking water and eating smaller portions.

My slips up Sat. was due to stress at a family gathering...my mother always gets to me...I'm sure some people here can relate!

I still need to begin exercising. I want to get into healthy eating first for a week or two, then add exercise. I know if I try to change too much at once, I will give up.

I still want to throw my scale through the window. My small weight losses appear and then disappear the next day. I know it's water weight, but it's so frustrating. I really need to stay off the scale and maybe weigh myself every two weeks instead of daily.

Thanks,
sherry

My husband is doing great also!!

Exclamation TOSS THOSE SCALES OUT THE WINDOW!!!!

You're doing a great job, Sherry. We have to expect 'slip-ups' from time to time. I forget what plan you're doing. I count calories, so when I have one of those slips, I just add it in and cut back a little somewhere else. So far, it's working for me.

You're right about taking things slowly. We've got time. Get used to one change before throwing in something else. I've been on my way since Jan. 1 and I still don't have all my ducks in a row!!

Congratulations on a job well started!

Love, Gayle

STAY OFF THOSE SCALES!!!!
