It also depends on where you carry weight and where you lose it first. Lots of the maintainers say the last 20-30 pounds comes off from the place you've always been big - like if you've always had big thighs, that will be the last place you lose it.

I started at a 20, sometimes 22 and a 2X shirt. Now I wear 16 pants and a large shirt, but if it's a skirt or a dress then I usually wear a 12. Anything that doesn't have to fit the butt and thighs is smaller.

My new swimsuit is a large. :-) Can I just tell you it's a two piece and that tickles me to death???

This variation is staggering. I can just finally fit into a 12 after getting a little below 150, and I'm 5'3". I started out at almost 190 in a tight 18. I don't think I look oddly proportioned but I do have a belly. In fact, I think I'm a smaller size standing up than sitting down because of how my belly bunches up!

Anyway, I've definitely had a different experience with sizing than most of you guys.

I carry my weight pretty evenly. When I started this journey at 198 I was wearing a tight 18 ( I have the same style of pants same exact pants all the way from 18's to 12's ) It took me about 40 pounds to go from the 18 to the 16. In the last 15 pounds I have gone from the 16's to the 12's. Crazy isn't it. Was great to have the same pants in all those sizes and in the old sizes not these new vanity sizes. Really showed me ( when I couldn't see it in the mirror ) how much smaller I was getting.

blah, to much for me. I've lost 48 lbs and I still wear the same clothes I did when I started, they are looser, but still, you'd think if one lost 50lbs they'd be falling off at the hips. Oh well, they will be soon enough.

It took me forever go go down a size. It was like one day they fit ok and the next they were falling off my bottom.

For me it's always been about 20 pounds EXCEPT for going from a 22 to a 20. For some reason, that is WAY more pounds than anything else, and I've never been able to do it...yet!!!

Lets see at 318 I was in a size 26w and now at 228 pounds I'm in a size 16. I really don't know how many pounds apart my sizes were, I know the 26's were getting big on me within weeks. Sorry I don't have more but just keep at it and you'll be in another size before you know it!

I have been way up and down in my weight, I was about 20 lbs per size. But I often "skipped sizes" meaning i was a 26 and lost weight they got loose and by the time I went to replace my clothes I could fit into a 22 (never wore the 24!) and that continued wore an 18 and a 14. Going up sizes I hit everyone all the way up Back to a 22

I find it is between 15 and 20 pounds between sizes in the same brand. The other thing that I have noticed is that I lose from the top down. So my tops are big before my bottoms! Someone told me that this is common and that when you stop losing pounds your body actually readjusts, so you can feel as though you are still losing, while the top may get a little bigger, the bottom gets smaller.

The other big factor is exercise. When I did Optifast several of us lost the same amount of pounds, but the real difference in size was not the pounds lost, but the exercise. We have all heard "muscle weighs more than fat" but it sure looks better!
