I really don't think there is anyone who has been struggling to lose weight that has not slipped a few or maybe even many times. The thing that is important to us is to get back on track. I went away this past weekend to the mountains and really fell off track. I try to look at it this way, even if I slip up on occasion, I will still be losing the weight. Maybe not as fast but I am not in a marathon race to lose it. I really think thats where I failed before, slipping up and getting discouraged and saying whats the use.

Sorry, every post I responded to today it seems like I'm writing a novel! LOL

Hi Suzie,
Sorry about the delayed response....i haven't had a chance to check this in a couple days. Thank you for the very sweet compliment.....as far a hair products go....I generally like to switch things up every couple of months, to give my hair a break....plus, I am a product whore

I'll give you some of my favorite combos and hopefully you can find something that works with your hair:
1. Aveda's "Be Curly" Lotion is a good product, but can be a little pricey and sometimes hard to find.
2. The "Curl's Rock" Line by Tigi....I think it is a subdivision of Bedhead known as Catwalk, is a little cheaper and has lots of different options for curls. It smells pretty great too!
3. The line I am currently using is Redken's "Fresh Curls"...I love the shampoo and conditioner combo. They have a lotion option for after you get out the shower and a good mousse. It smells pretty good as well.

I have to say that my number one tip for curly hair is...NEVER EVER Brush your hair. I don't even own one! I usually finger through my hair when it has conditioner in it in the shower, but once I get out ....I only squeeze the water out and use my fingers to run through the product through. When you brush or comb through curls, it tends to break them up and make em super frizzy.

Hope I was able to help Again, thanks for the compliment. As fellow curly head, I know how hard it can be to deal with them. Good Luck

Hi BabyRN,

Thanks for the reply. I just started using the TiGi products, actually! My current favorite product is Biotera Gel from Sally's Beauty Supply.

I never use a brush on my hair. I"ve been following a lot of the advice on the website naturallycurly.com and found it really helpful.

I'm a product whore too! I have WAY too much hair stuff....

Take care and thanks-
Sherry

Dude, I'm in the same place. I seem to have totally lost my mojo. Sadly, I've been mojo-less since January. Let's get it going again!!

Hey...thanks for the tip on the website. I've never heard of it, but am always looking for people who understand curly hair and any tip that makes me look better is always appreciated!

Have a good one!
