People do notice they just don't always say anything. I am so glad people are commenting on your loss. Makes a person feel good when their hard work is noticed.

Staro
Brothers don't tend to notice anything lol, glad he did. Hands are a funny thing, we don't think much about them and yet, they are one of the places that really show the changes in our weight.

Apple
Sounds like you are doing great. You are the one in control and that is wonderful. I can wear my daughters belts now. Couldn't have even dreamed of doing that 10 months ago.

It is a great accomplishment to pick our selfs up and keep going forward. Not every nsv is huge but I think to not let our selfs being off plan a bit turn into day after day of being off plan is a HUGE accomplishment.

Aero
That is great. Down a pant size and a belt that can go smaller. Nice going. I feel the same way. I see so many people doing great and that inspires me to do great too. I can't wait to go out and get new clothes. You all get so excited about it.

HAHAHA Finding Nemo, we watched one of my all time favorites the other day The Emperors New Groove. BEWARE OF THE GROOOOVE, NOOOO TOUCHY hehehe. Sometimes those around us forget we have changed how we eat. We don't make it a big deal, it is just what we do. We can forgive as long as when they do remember they are supportive.

I'm wearing a shirt that has been hanging in my closet for many many months! And this was definitely a shirt I wore when my hubby & I were first dating. It's not as lose now as it was then - but I can wear it comfortably - and I'm really really happy about it

Today somebody (a professor) who I don't know very well at all stopped me in the campus bookstore when we were both getting coffee. He said, "Have you lost weight?" and I said, "Yes, I have." And he said, "Well, it shows. You look great."

That just made my day. Lately I've been looking in the mirror and not really being able to see a change. This was the best positive reinforcement I could have imagined. Eight hours later it's still putting a giant grin on my face.

My NSV is twofold:

Even on days I have gone over my calories, I have not gone "hog wild" so to speak. I have gotten control and stopped AND have gotten on my exercise bike EVERY DAY for 18 minutes. I had been riding 3x a week but with the struggle I've had lately, I decided to ride almost daily (5-6x a week).

Second, it's working. Yesterday in the store, my size 22 (nearly new, and recently tight) jeans were actually hanging off my butt. As in, there was a lot more fabric and space than there was even a week ago. I had to keep pulling them up! So I think the biking must be doing some good!

Being able to wear a tank top without it looking weird. Don't ask, I can't explain it.

DH was on the phone with a friend. He told his friend that I have lost alot of weight. Apparently his friend asked how I've done it. He replied, "She counts calories, write down everything she eats (planned or unplanned) and does meditation. That's what she does every day" DH got it so right! I know he knows what my plan is - we talk about it sometimes. He sees me writing down everything I eat. He knows I meditate almost every day. I guess the victory is that he knows that, by now, it's an every day thing and it's here to stay (knock wood).

Some time in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that I have collarbones. I can't see them yet, but I can clearly feel them. Ribs, too. No hip bones yet, though.

My NSV for today is......I took a bath and shaving my legs laying in the tub was so easy. I use to have to struggle to get to the backs of my legs. It was so easy...I also noticed getting out of the tub was alot easier.

Yay debimitch! Tub time is sacred to me, and I love how losing weight makes it so much better.

My NSV for today is defeating the candy on Easter. I stared the chocolate bunnies, Cadbury Eggs and other yums down. I was a notorious candy girl in my recent past. I had a few small pieces today so I didn't go crrrrazy, but the staggering amounts of candy I saw were enjoyed by others.

I did it.... got through the entire easter candy season without any!!! That is HUGE for me

And I allowed myself to have a very small piece of cheesecake yesterday. I planned it - and I savored every delicious bite

It's amazing how tasteful food can be when its not being shoved down my throat quickly while I'm sneaking so noone else will see (lol!!)

Beth ~ how amazingly true. Isn't it fantastic when we give ourselves permission to really enjoy and savor our food?

Congratulations to you and everyone who made it through the holiday sucessfully.

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!

I have a few NSV's from the weekend to share:

My size 22 jeans now fit perfectly...not too tight & I didn't have to do the "suck in and inhale" routine to get them on.

Got through Easter with only eating four jelly beans....although I did end up getting sick.

Went out for breakfast yesterday and didn't have my usual of steak & eggs, but oatmeal and an english muffin.

A gal I work with brought in all her leftover Easter candy (Snickers, PB cups, Twix, Butterfinger) so I could put it in my treat basket. I'm not even tempted to eat any....but I sure hope their eaten fast!!!

Nice going on the pants. Hey that it great, not to even be tempted.

gr8
I do the same thing with my mountain dew. I use to drink 3 cases of the stuff a week. Now I have a can every now and then. I sit and drink it and enjoy it. Nice to allow our selfs something we like, that isn't good for us, and take the time to enjoy it.

deb
Oh nice going. Isn't it nice that laying down in the tub to relax is now relaxing instead of hard work.

Lyn
That is terrific. I know I don't really see, for me, where exercising is helping me lose weight I still lose 1 lb a week rather i was exercising or not BUT i sure do see a difference in now my body looks. Exercising seems to really help with the toning.

I have a hard time looking in the mirror and seeing much difference. My pants are all baggy in the Hanny part lol. While we were out this weekend I thought I would try on 12's since my 14's are so baggy. I was able to wear a size 10 in the same brand same type of jeans. Now, I know this is vanity sizing. They have just changed how they label things lol because I should have been able to wear a 12 no way a 10 but still made me feel good lol. I am going to wait to buy clothes until April at my annivarsary but it still made me feel good.
