Hey all!

My name is Lindsey and I'm 19 years old, will be 20 next month. I don't post here much, but I read all of the time. Currently, I'm living in Salisbury, MD and am a full time student majoring in International Studies with a concentration in International Relations, but I'm planning on going to medical school afterwards and becoming some kind of doctor. I have a very lovely boyfriend that I've been with for 4 months who lives in D.C. (a couple of hours away) that I stay with on weekends and a 6 year old cat named Muffin. I wish I could have another furbaby, perhaps a small dog since I've never owned a dog, but that has to be put on hold until my boyfriend moves into a pet-friendly building.

As far as weightloss goes, I've lost over 110 lbs and am going strong and actually just celebrated my anniversary on the 21st of this month! I calorie count and meticulously weigh my foods on my trusty food scale, concentrating mostly on whole foods. Right now my biggest struggle is actually getting out to exercise. Once I'm there and am actually doing it, I love it and I LOVE the feeling afterwards, but getting there is hard for me.

Like I said earlier, I rarely post anywhere, but I do come here and read everyday because it helps me to stay on plan and motivated! So a big thank you to the ladies who do post often... thanks for keeping me with plenty of reading material!

Hi !!

I'm Heather a sahm mom. I've just joined the website and am quite excited about it. This is my year - I hope!! It's time for me. I do have a couple of issues that don't really help with my losing weight problem. I have a REALLY bad back. I had to get a spinal fushion last year and this makes exercising more difficult. I'm putting into my head that motto of "NO EXCUSES!!) I'm 35 years old and 222 pounds. I love to laugh and fun could be my middle name!

In the past I've lost some weight and then I get sick of just chicken, yogurt and veggies. If anyone has some good ideas on yummo meals that are diet-friendly I would love some!!

Some of my hobbies are : coffee chat with my girlfriends, watching my kids in their activities (Sydney is 7 and Holly is 5) and having fun with my hubby Ryan. My biggest fear is one my kids won't come out of the tube-slide in the playland and me having to go in after them and then getting stuck and the jaws of life cutting the tube for me to get out!!! hmmm.... Maybe my super-uber biggest fear would be that in my small town that would make the front page of the newspaper!!!!!!

SO - here's to 2008 and all of losing weight. My start weight was 230 and I'm down to 222 so far.

I look forward to hearing back from people and hope to find a "plumpy" to be each others support (or the more the merrier -!!)

My name is Traci. Not to be confused with Tracey who eats breakie in the morning. :-) I've been coming here for quite a while, but I don't get here as much as I used to. I've been married for 20 years and have two teenage daughters.

A little over a year ago the manufacturing plant where we both had nice cushy office jobs announced the work was moving out of the country. I decided to have some pre-emptive healthcare done and discovered a big bad lump in my breast. Long story short - I'm healthy now, I'm a fulltime nursing student, my husband has lost over 100 pounds and I'm pushing 60 pounds lost. We run and bike and hardly ever watch tv anymore and pay lots of attention to what we eat. I wonder sometimes what the trigger for all of this was, but I'll probably never know. Just glad it happened.

LisaMarie - I missed your news! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!
