I may occasionally go off-plan, but I don't call it a cheat, because I try to either stay within my calories by using portion control, or I plan it ahead and make sure I've accounted for the extra calories by either exercising more or lowering my calories for the rest of the day.

I like all of the things I eat now, so I really don't want to cheat. Sometimes I think about how yummy a piece of pizza or some Chinese food would be, but then I remember that I'm not saying I'll never have them again; I'm just making the choice that right now, at this moment, I am going to make a better choice.

I'll occasionally allow myself a treat, but I usually make sure I stay within my calorie range even when I do have one. I keep trying to switch my way of thinking to make myself feel that the way I'm eating now is normal, and I basically am eating normal foods I'm just not eating tons of it like I used to. If it's something I can't live with on a normal basis, then it's not going to work for me long term.

So yeah, occasionally I go to DQ and have a vanilla cone...or one slice of pizza from the local pizza place. The trick is stopping at one, and it's been a tough trick to master but I'm getting the hang of it I'm determined to have a healthy relationship with food and not continually look at it as the enemy

We like to eat out. Alot. And even when we say "well, we need to save money, lets not go out." ... it still ends up happening. Like tonight. The trouble is that I really could speak up more, but the problem is that I secretly want to go out to eat. It's easy for the lazy me. I'm trying to work on that though. I think next time when someone suggests we go out, I'll say, "Not tonight, how about we get together next week and have a dinner party at my house?" The only thing is that I can't really afford to feed everyone. Usually if it's just my friends we'll all pitch in about $5 and get some food at the grocery store and make something, but I dunno. I don't want to seem like a cheapskate!

I don't consider any meal that I eat that isn't on plan to be 'cheating'.
To think of it that way, for me, is to think of my eating plan as temporary. Or a diet LOL!
I am eating healthy for life, and sometimes that includes working indulgent foods in on occasion. I don't consider any food off limits, which actually makes it a choice to not eat them. And funny how that choice is pretty easy to make when it's not forced on me.
