I look at it this way--I may be the largest person in the room, but if I keep going, eventually I won't be. And, while I'm sure it varies by gym, I also found that nobody really paid that much attention to what everyone else was doing--they were focused on themselves, as was I. (Well, when I was going to the gym. Now I work out at home with DVDs in the morning because I am going to law school at night--classes start in 3 weeks--in addition to working full time, so my day is pretty much taken care of from 8 am until well after 9 at night, and then I have to do homework after that. Ack.)
Well, it wasn't a LONG workout, but I still got up, and went to the Y, and worked out for 20 minutes! =) Baby steps at first! =) I'm beyond excited... I can't wait for tomorrow!
Well, I was one who was so excited about this idea/thread, and I have to admit, I haven't gotten up to exercise in the morning yet.
I had a few days where I slipped off track a bit. I've exercised the last two days, but not in the mornings. I'm going to get myself refocused and see what the rest of this week brings.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be checking in with a "I did it".
One hour step class today!! Mega tough and lots of sweating. Tons of confusing foot work, but hey it was my first time. I knew the foot work would be tricky to grasp at first.
Day Four and feeling strong! I'm seeing results in inches lost (1/2-1" all over my body in the last 15 days!), pounds going down (back to 302...lowest weight since I started!), and my muscles are getting used to it and not aching as badly!
Christy ~ Jump in whenever you can! You helped me get started, so THANK YOU!!!
TempleB & KC ~ Keep up the good work! Enjoy those gym classes!
Day four and its beginning to get easier. Today was cardio only, and I decided to head outdoors. It was 79 degrees, not too uncomfortable. I walked/jogged my mile route in 20 minutes. I'd walk 1 block, jog 1 block, with a 2 block warm up and cool down. My goal is to jog the entire route! Stretching before and after. I'm gonna touch my toes soon!
Day 5 and nobody's posted yet. Hopefully everyone's just busy.....
I got up late, 6am....but I got a video done. I did The Firm Body Sculpt, 45 min. It doesn't do ab work, so I will do some crunches before bed...I ran out of time this morning.
Yesterday I didn't go to the gym because I went to the zoo. Didn't do good on the diet either but that's another thread...
Today I walked on the treadmill for about 25 minutes at about 3.5 mph. Not my best, but I really hate the treadmill. It hurts my shins and well it is so boring. I can't wait till the class schedule resumes.
Tomorrow is Yoga and maybe after that I'll try some cycling.
I'm exercising every other day and working up veeryy slowwly to 6 days per week (I blew out my knee the last time I tried an exercise program because I went out too hard and fast; then I stoppped exercising at all ). Yesterday should have been an exercise day but I'd been pretty sick the day before and still wasn't feeling great, so I skipped the day.
But I was up early this morning to do 31 minutes on the treadmill !
Oh hopefully I can catch up, you are doing so great. I am so happy to see so many people determined.
I've taken about a 10 day break from morning workouts and shall I say I only went to the gym 2-3 days out of that entire time.
I've maintained my weight so far, and not gained anything though I was not very perfect in my selections.
I will be joinging you guys either tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday.
Next 2-3 months will be the toughest for me, if I prove myself, bigger opportunities might open up, I've worked years to get this close, and don't want to miss out, but w/o helf it will be useless.
I slept in yesterday...I needed it too....I slept until 9! Then I worked my hiney off all day with house and yard work. I took today off...my back hurts from the lawn edger. Tomorrrow its back to 5:30am exercise time!
