I think you're doing fine. You are steadily losing. I know that you know that you probably will never see another 8 lb lost week again. So given that you've lost 4 lbs in three weeks that's 1.33 lbs per week. Which is nice, especially given your limited mobility right now.

As far as the exercise goes, can you swim? How about sit-ups, stretching? Can you put ANY weight on your foot? Maybe some light dancing? A brief walk? If not, hang in there, the time will pass before you know it.

IF you're looking to change things up, I would probably suggest cutting back on the bread, pasta and rice and ADD in more fiber rich vegetables. They are a weightloss powerhouse.

Just one other thing, are you measuring your portions? Pasta, rice and bread can really add up quickly. Could it be your estimating them wrong and you're really eating more then you think? Just a thought.

A lot of this stuff is trial and error. You will get it all down pat. Hang in there. You're doing just great.

Hang in there. Your body will lose weight at different rates each week. Be careful about allowing your foot to heal. I've had a few breaks and other injuries and made some of them worse by pushing myself. May I suggest the chair exercise tv programs or DVDs while your foot is healing? I know in my area there is one channel that has this show. I've heard other people say the chair exercising was more challenging than they expected.

I've seen the shows regularly on a cable channel, but can't remember which one. I think there are various levels and types of workouts, and the cable channel probably offers more variety than the PBS stations that carry it...not sure, though. Here is a link to the PBS stations that carry the show. It's for seniors, but what the heck--if it keeps you going for the time being, even if it's not ideal, maybe it will be of benefit.
