Let me start by saying I am going to the doctor's on Friday.
That being said, I am on period #2 this month. What the heck?! I had one week on, one week off, and now my period has re-arrived. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to. I was just wondering if any of you had had this happen and had any idea what caused it, or if it was just some weird fluke, or what. Again, I am going to the docs Friday. Just wanted some input from you lovely gals!
@_@ Hmm well I've had two periods in one month a few times before, but never with just one week between them. mostly 2 or 3 weeks between.
I really don't think it's anything you need to worry about, as our bodies are weird things sometimes ^_^
I don't know how old you are, but maybe you're getting to that "peri-menopausal" time of life? I'm at the age that it could be happening, but it isn't yet. I've just heard a lot about it.
The other thing is that when I increase my exercise, I almost always experience some kind of change. The last time this happened, I skipped one month, but then the next month was extra heavy and lasted forever.
It happened to me 2 years ago while on 3 country international business trip. I am on birth control pills and due to time differences, jet lag whatever, I completely missed a pill without realizing it (in country days and my actual days of the week - according to the pill pack - completely got away from me). I had a period 2 weeks into my cycle (completely unexpected and awful, I was wearing light beige pants )
This happened to me once before. I had a provera induced AF and then started my period again two weeks later (thus, only about a week of non bleeding). I ended up pregnant that cycle (though, I was on clomid).
I don't know your age so it's hard to comment. I had started having periods three weeks apart earlier this year. When I mentioned it to my doctor he said I could probably look forward to menopause in another year or so. I would have thought there would be fewer periods, but that's not necessarily so. You are doing the right thing by seeing your doctor.
I'm 21. This has happened before, but I let it go and figured no biggie. And it's probably still no biggie, but now I have a bunch of girlies to ask, lol. I am also on birth control, recently switched to a different one than I was on before (about 3 months ago), and did miss a couple pills. Maybe that would alter it?
I have the opposite problem, my period comes sometimes every 2-3 or even 4 months.l am not on the pill, but agree with everyone else it might be the pill. I would talk to a doctor just to be sure everything is ok.

Screwing of on my Birth Control pills has caused me to do that a couple times.. I would say its probably no big deal, but you should definatly go see your doctor just to make sure! Can't be too careful about these things!
Missing a pill or two can not only mess with your cycle (my cycle is different by about two weeks on/off bc) it can also render the entire cycle's worth of bc useless. I have a cousin who got pregnant on the pill 4 times because she only missed one. I know you know all of this, but it's really important not to miss any pills if you don't want to get pregnant right now.
