to 3FC. I've been reading for about a week. I'm Jan, and I'm hoping for support in losing 120 pounds. Yikes, it seems impossible now, but from everything I've read, I CAN do this!
I've never lived "by the scale", because I played soccer for 13 years, and lifted weights for that, so I weighed more than I should have due to muscle mass. Then, I went to college. THEN, I got married and moved away from home, and was diagnosed with depression. THEN, I had four kids......HaHaHa.
Now, my oldest child has been telling me that her friends talk about her "fat mom", and I was swimming with my family recently and my dear, sweet husband pointed out that my body didn't resemble a woman's there (when I thought it did) for years.
I've started by simply trying to cut out soda for the past two weeks. In the past, by doing this, I lost a few pounds until getting to the grocery store. NOT this time, though, so I got frustrated and bought a 12 pack. However, I'm going shopping this week, so I'm logged in here to keep myself focused. I'm going to count calories and have been walking nightly for two weeks. I will keep that up, and see what happens.
Anyway, I look forward to putting a ticker here with weight loss.....SOON!
I just signed on myself yesterday, so I'm kind of new too.
You are in the right place, we're here to encourage and support each other.
You can do whatever you want to do, and if losing weight is it, I know you can do it. Just remember that we are beautifully and wonderfully made, no matter what we look like.
Just speak good things into your life, and pretty soon you'll be on your way to losing weight.
Don't give up!
Hiya ladies!-you have to admit that changing your lifestyle is very hard-but the consequences can be much worse. So-try and have a little fun with it! Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day-just get back on the horse.
Best wishes and hugs to you both!
