Lisa, sometimes that scale can be your biggest motivator or your greatest downfall. I know there are times when I've felt like I was doing so great there should've been at least a 10 pound drop overnight right? Then step on the scale and it's not moved or even went up and then just be discouraged. Someone on here once said this isn't a race to see how quickly you can get to goal weight. Yes it would be nice for it to just fall off quickly but realistically it didn't get there overnight or even over a year so for me to expect it to just come off that fast is setting me up for failure. This is something I will do for the rest of my life so I have to find some way of eating that will be forever and be healthy. I try to limit myself to once a week weighins. Occassionally I will step on the scale midweek to see if there are any changes.

for staying on plan and getting in exercise. Before too long, you'll look back and think time has sure flown by.
