Ack! I changed my ticker and didn't want to! I was trying to create a new one not replace it. :(
|
I would start in the morning since today is almost over.
|
Count me in on both challenges! One question though...to track your miles, do you use a pedometer or does a certain amount of time equal a certain amount of miles?
|
I use the treadmill..lol I am getting a pedometer to use when I just walk outside because,I think it would be too hard to measure by just walking a certain amount of time because of different speeds.
|
Deal then! Tomorrow I start walking...my kids will love to go along for the ride. :)
|
I changed the first post in this thread to a welcome one, does it sound right to you guys? I will make us a header but figured it would work for now.
|
Good morning ladies!
Sounds great to me Tina! :D Okay, we start today with the challenge. Awesome! I'll leave my ticker the way it is then because I'll walk two miles today. I just hope I can make the 2 pounds. We went out last night and even though dh had dinner (earlier) he was hungry and stopped at BK! Well, I hadn't had dinner at all so... I was bad. :burger: Now that one slip will stay with me and haunt me when I get on the scale. :( Maybe I can just work extra hard on the treadmill. :woops: But for now I just need some :coffee: Have a great day ladies. I'd like to join in, but I don't walk regularly--I go to Curves 3x -4x a week, and in June I'll start playing tennis. I do try to get in a couple of miles on the weekend, but I have shin splints, so Curves is my main aerobics.
How should I track that? I usually walk a 15 minute mile, so 30 minutes = 2 miles. Since Curves is 30 minutes, can I count that as 2 miles? And I'm in for a weight-loss challenge! 2 pounds--I'm determined! Lynn |
Hi Lynn and welcome. I'd say if you've tracked it and you know the speed you are going goes a mile in "x" amount of time then I'd say it would count as long as you maintain that speed. ;)
Good luck everyone! Rhonda |
Thanks, Rhonda. That's what I was figuring, that since I know my speed, that I could do it that way. And, depending on how hard I'm working at Curves, it might be 1.5 miles (some days I just can't go as fast and as hard as I'd like to).
And of course, when I do walk, I'd count that for however many miles. Speaking of, I need to get a pedometer... |
Welcome Lynn! I agree with what Rhonda said about walking,if you know your speed you know what you are walking. Sounds to me like you are doing great!
AAM:I can hardly move today,my back is hurt and is having spasm's. I just took a couple of pain pills because,it hurts so bad that I can hardly breath. I hope it goes away soon because,I cant deal with this. Well,I am going to lay down for awhile until they kick in so,I will bbs |
Ouch!
Tina! Take care of that back!
Yesterday I did 30 minutes at Curves at a good heartrate, so 2 miles for me! Lynn |
Hi ladies!!
Instead of having a small group here, why not open up your challenge to the whole 100 lb club? We all have 100 lbs to lose or more and we love challenges!!! We also have some of our own (points challenge for one). Start a new thread for the exercise challenge so everyone can join in!!! Glad to have you!!! |
:) Hello Ladies! I have 100+ to lose too and am going to do it...who is with me? :D
|
Ok,I'm back! My back is still killing me. I dont mind opening up the challenges to everyone what do you girls think? We can make a challenge group and keep this one for motivation if you want, just let me know. Lets go girls!!!!
