Janny, that's a fun game!

My grocery cart/list is definitely a barometer for my mood. I'm proud to look in my basket and see whole-foods purchases with minimal processed stuff. I also sometimes share my list with my menu-accountability buddy.

Yes, I know what you mean about being proud of your food choices. I feel the same way. There was such shame and embarassment involved with my former shopping/eating ways. Now I don't care who sees or who knows exactly what I'm eating. I do take pride in that.

Fastfood is my downfall, I'll admit it. This is like fast food land over by work about every fast food place known to man and then some and more and more are staying open later and later or even going 24 hrs, which doesn't help me since I work 3rd shift, why can't they just all close up????? UGHHH.

I have been eating a lot less though and we have been making a lot more meals.

Grocery shopping has gotten much easier, however, I am always prepared before entering. I have a list and I never go hungry. If I get overconfident and don't plan ahead, temptation jumps out the aisles and attacks me!

I'm also one of those who is proud of my shopping cart. It is full of fresh vegetables, whole grains, reduced fat dairy and lean meats. I'm amazed when I look in some carts and see so much junk food, sugar and processed "meat" items...and very little real food. I feel badly for the children as they arent getting the fuel their little bodies need and they are learning horrible eating habits.

More confessions of a fast-food junkie here. I was really bad about driving thru. I live by myself and felt like it was such a chore to cook for 1 person, and i still feel that way, but I do it. My ways to get off it were not carrying more than about $3 cash with me. How bad could you be on that little bit of money? Also found new routes to get places, even to the point of driving thru neighborhoods, until the intense cravings went away. I also never go to the grocery store hungry or without a list. And feel virtuous for having only fresh whole foods in my basket. But sometimes, if they're cooking stuff in the store, I have to shop really fast. Sometimes I look like that commercial with Tony Stewart in the grocery store. (if you're not a car racing fan, you won't know it, but it's a riot.)
