Cary - I don't really know!! I had a few bad days (read: easter!!) but other than that I've been on plan. Although, I have to admit, I need to exercise more!! I've been neglecting that, that's for sure. And it's definitely a very important part of the equation! I eat between 1300-1500 cals per day, usually closer to 1300 though. And if I drank any more water, I'd have to live in the bathroom!! haha I think my problem is all in the exercise. What about you, what's your plan?

Congrats on having a great moment. I love those. They make me feel awesome for quite awhile. And what is even better is it makes you want to keep doing it. Yay for you! Keep up the good work!

Hi Maggie!
Thank you!

Liz.. I think I do the same thing.. I count calories.. and try to not eat too many carbs (I love brown rice and whole wheat pasta and Quinoa though)..

I have found something that I know helps.. I vary my calories each day.. like I will do this:

Monday - 1600
Tuesday - 1100
Wednesday - 1400

etc.. I always follow a "high" day with a day of at least 500 calories less..
I found out that this helps by accident actually.. going through an old journal from several years ago.. checking my calories out on weeks I lost more than the usual 1-2 pounds.. always the week before I had done that.. even had a day I "slipped" and ate like 2000 cal..

So lets post our exercise for the next couple of weeks..

Yesterday I walked twice.. both about 35 min.. this is not my usual.. I just got a little restless in the afternoon and decided to take another walk..

I am going to add three days next week of extra exercise... not sure yet what that will be.. but I will walk every morning for 35 min (six days next week) and also work out three days in the afternoon.. another walk or one of the videos or DVD's I have..

what are you gonna do?
TTYL~

Good for you Cary sounds like you have the exercise down pat!! I've decided to start swimming, starting tomorrow morning hopefully. Also I will be taking a good walk tonight, at least an hour (stay away, rain!!).

So next week, I will do swimming at least 3 times, and I am going to get to the gym for weights at least 2 times. Plus the dog will get her daily 1/2 hour walk with me.

Liz..
that sounds like a plan.. and alot of exercise..
I have weights here.. so I will add a bit.. I don't do weights anymore.. JUST got them.. (used to years ago)... but I will do upper body and do some leg work just using my body weight..

I want one of those FIRM sculpt sticks to help me do lunges and squats..
I think I saw one on ebay..

Have a great nite.. PS.. what's for dinner?
we are having Amy's Organic Veggie Lasagna and sauteed green beans..
I think I am adding a half oz of cheese to the top of my lasagna.. (never enough cheese) and I have the extra calories for the day..
think my total for today will end up around 1550..

Talk to you later,
Cary
