Unhappy Dose Weight Watchers work?

Hello, I am new to 3FC, so I hope I'm doing this right. LOL
Can any one tell me if Weight Watchers really works, would you recomend it?
I need to lose 50 lbs and I feel VERY overwhelmed. How much do you lose a week a pound, 3 lbs ?
Thanks !

i can tell you yes.........without a doubt, if the plan is followed, it does work wonderfully . in 2007 until 2009 i lost 160 lbs doing weight watchers, and it was pretty easy. dont let my ticker scare you. i have some problems i'm working through right now, had i of worked out the issues during the weight loss i think i would have kept it off. but that is in the past. i have started the process over, this time with counseling, and i have already lost 7 lbs in one week. yes it does work.
good luck to you

ps. healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week on any diet. my number was probably due to water weight, and before i fluctuated anywhere from 1 to 3 pounds a week

I've lost 108 pounds doing weight watchers. I loved the meetings and it was a very supportive environment. Good luck!

I have lost 45 pounds so far on WW, I still have 15 to go. Here is what you need to know: FOLLOW THE PLAN, have patience, drink water, exercise if you can.

Does WW work? How do you think they have stayed in business for more than 40 years if the plan isn't a good one. It doesn't work - you have to work the plan and follow it exactly as written. I've lost 200 pounds.

I've been following it very closely and have been averaging 2 pounds a week, pretty happy with that

Weight Watchers works! I have been on plan for 9 months and have lost 74lbs! Out of every plan I've tried this works the best because you don't feel deprived of anything but it does take work. Tracking is the most important key to losing and also adding in activity even if it's walking.

Like most things, it works if you work it.

I think it's a sound and healthy program. I believe in the ideals and principles and practice many of them. I never signed up and have only been to one meeting. Most of the stuff can be found online for free.

WW has changed my lifestyle and eating habits completly, enabling me to lose 125 lbs in the last couple of years. I have never felt like I wasn't getting enought to eat, or not getting to eat what i wanted. Find a good meeting and at least go for a while, the accountability helps so much with forming good habits.

Good luck on your weight loss journey.
