hi LWL,

Tiki-That is truly AMAZING!!! You lited not only the weight of your kid but way way more !!! I think you have lifted almost the weight of my 2 kids TOGETHER!!! (13 yr old boy weighs about 32 kg, and 10 yr old girl weighs about 23 kg so together a bit over 110 pounds)
Now get back into that superwoman cape !!

As for myself: I did cardio today, 50 min run in place. It was raining, but to spike the intensity a bit I put on weights on arms & legs. I can feel my muscles a bit from the FBW of yesterday, but not to much so maybe I'll try to put another 1 kg to the barbell.

Have a great day all,
rabbit

Hi Karla I see you found our weekly thread I just welcomed you in the Intro's.

Rabbit- Be careful about adding weights to your arms when you are doing cardio. depending on what you are doing, you can really stress your tendons. Especially if you follow it up the next day with either upper body or a full body workout I ended up with months of tendonitis and a torn rotator cuff about 10 years ago doing that. It's like doing about 600 repetitons of an exercise with a light weight.

Back and cardio for me today, and food had been ON.

Hi all,

Mel, I am going to mention what you said to my boss. I have a co-worker that uses 5 pound dumbells three times a week when she walks her 5 miles and she is filing a worker's comp claim saying that her shoulder is messed up because of her desk. Perhaps its not the desk that is the real problem.

Ran 4 miles today, no challengers. Also worked back and did sumo deadlifts for the first time.

Oh yeah, the scale has been stuck for three weeks and TA-DA today, its down 3 pounds.

Thanks for the cheer, Ellen!!! And that smiley ain't got nothing on the happy dance I was doing in my bathroom yesterday!

I got into the gym late today so I only did the weight lifting part of my exercise schedule there - Legs! I tried reversing the hands on the deadlifts and it worked like a charm! I also upped the weights I use on lunges to the 20 pounders in hopes that it will strengthen my grip as well. I did Tae Bo once I got back home so I could supervise DS's cooking. They are having nachos and I am going to cook chicken in taco seasoning and have that for my dinner.

Tiki.
