I lost 67 lbs on BFL... whimpering the whole way through cardio. Loved the weights and ended up doing well in training. The food was tough the first 5 weeks..seriously did some mental cleansing. But after that it became a way of life. Till we did a major move, and all bleep broke loose, again Im a comfort food eater so I packed ever lst 67 lbs I had lost plus more. I find myself not having the wil power to get back on it again. Bad carbaholic here.
When we get a cold blow of snow from out west, they call it an Alberta Clipper. It apparently picks up moisture from the lakes and we get the dreaded 'lake effect snow showers'. Why do they call it Alberta Clipper? Shrug!
Oh your name is Angie! That's sooo much better than calling you da fat!
I used to call myself tooround. The gals encouraged me to change it when I was no longer so round
Hi all,
My name is Liz and i'm very new to this site. I'm 21, live in Toronto and I need to lose about 110-120lbs. I plan to lose the weight by eating healthier(not cutting out anything, just limiting the amounts) and by slowly working my way up to 5-7 times a week of cardio and 2-3 times a week of weight training.
I would like to join a walking group in the Scarborough area. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could direct me to one.
Susan, they call it dang cold here...lol We don't get those kinda colds. ITs cold or its Chinook. Which I find nice but hard to live with. I remember in the NWT it was cold or colder. And you dressed as you should. WARM.
Looks like a pretty good day shaping up. It's getting a little warmer again and the most recent snow is starting to melt again.
Happy to report that I've managed to send another 2 ugly pounds to ugly-pound-heaven this week.
If you haven't seen them yet, keep an eye out for the ever-expanding list of President's Choice Blue Label products. (Super Store/Zehrs/Loblaws). I had the Cauliflower topped Shepherds Pie for dinner last night. It was absolutely yummy. Real comfort food for a fraction of the fat and calories.
A great big, welcoming for you, Readyforit. We look forward to hearing more from you (and seeing less of you, of course).
Regarding the banished pounds, I thought about where I wanted to send them, Ilene, and decided that since it really wasn't their fault ... after all, I was the one who had invited them to visit with me in the first place ... that when I sent them packing, the least I could do is send them somewhere nice. Soooo, "ugly-pound-heaven" it is.
