I think I have fallen off the EVOO wagon already. I don't enjoy it on my salad like I had hoped to. I think if I liked vinaigrette, I could make it work. But I don't like vinaigrette so I haven't really figured out how to make a dressing out of it.
LurchMomma Thank you for posting that link. I can also see myself in there. It talked about thyroid issues and adrenal fatigue. I have thyroid issues but I think I am also dealing with adrenal fatigue. I don't eat low carb but I still think I have something going on.

No workout to report. We had to upgrade our Ford diagnostics at the shop, so we had to order a new laptop with all the diagnostics stuff. So today I started setting up the laptop. I will have to continue with that project tomorrow. I think before I go into work tomorrow, I need to go buy a new printer for that set up. I think the other one was the original one for the laptop we were using. I still don't understand how I got to the be IT specialist for us. That is really scary, if you think about it. I had to leave work a few minutes early so I could go home and make the salad/grilled chicken for our ladies church meeting.
Thank you Lurchmamma, I followed the link and not sure if you would consider me an athlete, since I only worked out or workout about 35-50 min a day but I push hard. I am going to look more into a better balance between carbs and calories after that read though. Let me see what one week on the low carb and no cheating will do for me then tweak from there
Diana I think I would put a little more in your egg scramble if you don’t like it on salad, like use a teaspoon instead of a spritz. You could even just mix it in your tomato paste, a small amount here and there. I’m not a hug fan of vinaigrette either, I like the creamy dressings, that’s why Bolthouse is so great for me, you could also try mixing a tsp right in with your dressing, before you put it on your salad. I think I just read that you do that with the dressingI don’t go out of my way to add it in to my diet, I just use it instead of other oils.
GrannyNancy great job! You’re killing it!
Nancy you’re on the right track, if what you’re doing isn’t working, you have to make a tweak.you certainly are an athlete, working out 35-50 minutes a day, don’t sell yourself short, make sure you’re getting enough water, I remember that was stressed during low carb because of the increased protein. I have to constantly remind myself to stay hydrated.
Good morning. 234.2 bounce up. Makes sense. I walked a lot yesterday but I am lower than Monday so all is good.
I am getting ready to leave tomorrow at 4am for a search call with my cadaver dog so I won't have time today to exercise and do my job and other things. Tonight is yoga for an hour and she puts us through our paces. Won't be posting tomorrow either.
I also adjusted up my target weight as I have been using a fat meter and it is consistently showing me with a lean mass of 125lbs and by my calculations a weight of 160 would be 20% body fat. The BMI chart shows 150 would be 24% so, whatever, 150 would be fine. I know I was 150lbs when I was in my best shape and cycling 50-60 miles any day I was not working. Even now, I have some pretty impressive quads so I am shooting for 150. 135 was when I graduated from high school. We will see. I would be delighted with 150.
I will say I have been using the Olive Oil on my skin, too.........yes it is an expensive oil but cheaper than most skin care products and it is making my skin very soft. .
Today's plan. 1131 calories, 75 grams protein, 81 grams net carbs, 51 grams fat.
Tomorrows plan is unplanned but I will write down and record everything to see how I do. Walking will probably be about 10 miles but on flat terrain so who knows.
Kelijpa, nice drop

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
Kim's mother felt so sorry for her. She remembered what it was like to be overweight. All the other children were so cruel. She could still feel the sting of all the nicknames people had put on her. Now, Kim was suffering the same indignities. Her mother hoped she could get Kim on a diet, if for no other reason than to keep Kim's classmates from taunting her so mercilessly. Just taking steps to correct the problem made it easier to take. The insults didn't hurt so much after the problem was taken care of. Together, they would lose the weight. With God's help, time would heal the wounds of unkind words.
Today's thought: I will put all my excess weight behind me!
For those who have been here for a while, I wanted to give an update on Brandon. If you are new here, Brandon is a really good friend of ours and he helps my DH at the place where they hunt. He is in his early 20's and has been battling Hodgkins Lymphoma for 3+ years now. This is his second stem cell transplant procedure.
Last week he had a scan and they got the results yesterday. A little back info: He has had a couple areas that didn't respond to the chemo and the future plan was to do radiation on those areas. Last week they warned him to expect some places to remain on the scan but they would deal with them in the future. So the scan showed some places remained but they are so small that they will monitor and there are no current plans for radiation. He will have another scan in 60 days (55 days at this point). He still can't go out in public, except to go to the hospital for testing, etc. But he can go for car rides, etc. He asked my DH to come get him at lunch sometime and they can get some food through the drive thru. I'm thinking DH can probably drive him to the farm and they look around, etc. But he can't get out, etc. At this point he can't go back out until around the first of the year. The total time for him staying in like that will be about 6 months. I am so glad the news was better than they expected because he has been having a rough time with not being able to go out, etc.
I appreciate your prayers for him and ask that you continue. Thank you.
Good morning everyone
WO 40 min of core and HIIT/Strength done
WI down just a little but still up from Monday. Today 163.2, Yesterday 164.0....Monday 162.0.
Thank you Kelipa, I do drink a large amount of water threw out the day, to the point I carry a gallon jug with me to work and drink nearly all of it during my 8 hours then the water before I leave for work and when I get home. So staying hydrated during the week is easy peasy. Weekends more of a challenge.
Today will focus again on clean eating
B 2 hard boiled eggs
S salami and babybell cheese
L Large salad with oil and vinegar
D TBD--protein with veggies
S Pork rinds
carb goal <20 Cal 1200-1300
Diana and Nancy: I'm glad you found that information to be interesting. I did, too. My weight has increased by 20 pounds, and I know that stress is part of that. They call cortisol the "stress hormone", and it contributes to weight gain, especially visceral fat, which is that terrible "belly fat" that accumulates around the organs. Food for thought. No pun intended!
grannynancy: I like to mash olive oil into some coconut oil and add a couple of drops of lavender and frankincense. I keep it in a wide mouth mason jar and slather it on after showers.
Keli: You are doing great!
Diana: That is wonderful about Brandon. I said a prayer for him just now. If I wait, I'm terrible about forgetting.
Exercise:
No workout for today.
Still working on the diagnostics at the shop. I had to go out and buy a new printer and such today, too. Hopefully I will have everything done tomorrow.
Good evening
Just a quick check in
Cal 1450, net carbs 17.2. Feel bloated but that could be because I ate a small serving of almond milk ice cream. I don't usually indulge but it tasted good.
So it looks like I managed to maintain my pound I got off last week. Working the plan. I can tell the weather is changing, started waking up with a slight headache, have to remember to use nasal gel at bedtime, it helps me a lot in the mornings.
Diana great news regarding Brandon, very happy to hear.
Last night I added on: Full Body Stretch (standing)
This Morning: Oxycise in the Office 2
Calories for yesterday: 1540 +
Weigh In: 184.0
Down: .4

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Corey had to admit that his friends were making better progress than he was. He just wasn't disciplined enough. His friends didn't seem to have nearly as much trouble with discipline. When he asked them why, they all just grinned and told him to pray about it. Finally, it dawned on him what they were talking about. Corey wasn't much of a Christian, but he wasn't stupid, either. His friends obviously had something he needed and wanted. If God could do so much to help them, then Corey believed He would do it for him, also. By receiving the truth of Christ, Corey was given all the strength needed to succeed in his diet.
Today's thought: God is ready to help me lose weight!
I've missed a few days of posting. Not because I was off plan but because it has been so busy at work and at home for me this week that I've not had a chance to log in.
LurchMomma - Nice to meet you
Hi Diana, Kelijpa, grannynancy, Nancy and anyone I forgot. I hope you all are having a great Thursday.
All is good with me. I'm still plugging along with my WW program and diligently working out. I even walked 2 days in the rain. My weight is 214.6 today and hopefully, I'll have another drop soon. In the meantime, I'm just going to keep working the program.
WO complete FB Sweat week 1 day 4 of 4 week program 34 min upper body strength
WI still up but no gain same as yesterday 163.2 and overall up from Monday 1.2. I only hope this weekend I see some sort of drop back down to my 'normal' range of 160.
Diana that is great about Brandon, even though we don't know him know him I feel like giving him a big high 5!
Kelipa great job on maintaining that lb off is a feat unto
