I've decided that tomorrow I begin lower my calories again. We had a nice lunch at my daughter's but why on earth did she have chip and dip in front of me? Why did I dive in? Oh, well.... That's all over now and tomorrow is the day. I'm bound and determined to take off this Christmas gain and continue toward my goal.
Wishing you all the best.

Well, it only took a week and a half to nearly undo everything I've lost since Thanksgiving. I gained 3 pounds over a 9 day period of eating Christmas goodies overeating highly salty foods and other foods. Today is a new day and I'm highly motivated to get back to it.

Best wishes to get out of the 140's to all of us.

Theresa: You will lose it all again! And it could be that some of it is water so it'll come off easily!

Despite some crazy eating on Christmas Eve, Day, and Boxing Day, my first day back with a scale was a positive experience. 144.8 today . I am officially closer to the 130s than the 150s! 5 pounds until the 130s! Going by my past rate (almost perfectly 1 lb/week), 5 weeks until 130s!

Down to 144.2 today. I'm not really sure why. However, I'm happy about it!

You girls are doing so well. I weigh myself tomorrow and am hoping for a nice loss as I've been doing well. I get very hungry, however.
My New Year's resolution is to get out of the 140's, out of the 130's and down to 120 if I possibly can.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and reaching your weight loss goal in 2016.

145.5 this morning and very happy with my weight loss so far. I began the day after Thanksgiving, ate what I wanted for 1.5 weeks at Christmas time and today, just 5 weeks later, I'm down 6 pounds. Not bad at all for a good start. I ordered more protein bars as they're a treat for me and serve as my lunch (along with a salad) and snack. I eat two low carb low calorie protein bars per day. Outside of that I don't eat bread, pb or potatoes. It's working. My BMI was 27.7 and is now 26.6. I can't wait until it's under 25 then I'll be in the normal weight category.

I'd like to share that I just purchased Nutrisystem to help me lose the weight. I deliberated for 3 days before doing it.

144.2 for FIVE DAYS. Lol. I never know what's going on with my body when it maintains such a precise plateau. There must be some arranging going on within my body (more or less of waste, water, undigested food, and actual fat loss) … I can't imagine EVERYTHING is the same 5 days straight! However, I've decided to cut my calories slightly to ensure I get out of here… lightly active TDEE for my weight/height is 1900ish calories, so I'm going to try to stick to 1400 most days. That means I can eat 350 cals 4x a day (or more or less if I want a bigger dinner, then I can have a smaller snack, etc). Should be doable.

That should work for you. I've got to begin going on my treadmill. I don't like the treadmill at all, but it would help me a great deal. I'm consuming 1,200 calories a day so Nutrisystem shouldn't come as a shock to my system, since that's what they have me on. I can't wait for my shipment to arrive.
You're doing very well!

I hope you like the Nutrisystem plan and find it easy to stick to, Theresa! There may be a thread on that diet as well somewhere if you're interested.

I reviewed what I was eating over December, I didn't have a lot of 1400 range days, so I am confident eating in that range will help me out if I can stick to it. Yesterday I hit 1475 but it was the result of choosing a slightly more calorific food (75 cals more) that would fill me up rather than risking being hungry later and adding more calories.

Today I am 143.8! .4 of a pound down, and I was 144.8 last Monday, so I'll take it! It's nice to see that 3, even though I want to move it over into the tens spot…

WOW! 143.8 is great. I can't wait to be there. I know I will in time. I only weigh once a week on Fridays, so I'll be anxious to see the scale.
I've looked for the Nutrisystem thread and can't find a thing so I began a thread earlier today. I selected the foods myself, so I know they'll be fine.
Keep losing....
