Good morning everyone!!

My last post was more of a cry for help! I really couldn't stop eating...and I went way past my calories for the day. For some reason this always happens to me on Friday nights after a long week all I want to do is sit in front of the tv and eat. After about 1600 I stopped counting and who knows how many calories I actually had (my guess is around 3,000). Anyway, damage is done. Moving on, starting fresh today. Today is day #8.

My weigh in - gained 1.7 lbs... 196.7 lbs this morning.

Diane, thanks for the support

Grace, not for nothing, but I find that if I look back on my eating the day or 2 before a 'can't stop eating' day, I see that I haven't had very good nutrition. So I make sure that when I find myself unable to stop eating that I make sure that it's a good meal that I'm digging into - lean red meat, or beans/veggies, etc. I think that the reason that I get into one of those spirals is that I'm not always mindful of the quality of nutrition I'm taking in .... calories isn't everything...

Dr. Joel Fuhrman of 'Eat to Live' fame talks about 'toxic hunger' when your body is craving nutrition, not food. If you check him out there some articles you can read for free.

Debating right now about going to the gym...I think I'm already at 5 days in a row so it won't kill me to take a day off but I get gym guilt.
