I think I finally understand my body. I've figured out what I can and what I can't do.

I can't eat breakfast in the morning -- If I do, I gorge myself on food at lunch. Call it a spike in blood sugar or something, but I get ravenous at lunch. -- Though, I can eat a 80 calorie low-fat yogurt if I'm a little hungry and it will be fine...but cereal is a different story. I will be SO hungry if I have cereal, or even oatmeal.

I can't eat my lunch before I get my 20 minute workout in -- I won't do the workout, I simply won't...I guess I'm too lazy after I eat.

Can you guess what today has been like so far? Yep, I ate breakfast and stuffed my face and didn't work out. While I'm disappointed in myself, I at least now know what I can and can't do.

I also can't eat stuff like bread, chips, any sweets, bagels, tortillas, noodles, cereal, and much more, if I expect to stay on plan. I need food like eggs, chicken, ground turkey, fruit, etc. to keep me going well. I try and try to incorporate other foods that aren't healthiest for me, but I end up going off track when I do so. I'm getting to actually know my body know, and it feels great!

Hello everyone. We've got a warm snap here in Buffalo - 48 degrees. I've had a good week on my eating plan. Lots of healthy foods, and no beer or sweets. Trying to cut beer to once a week vs 3 or 4 times. Hopefully today i can go to the gym and do an easy spin on the bike. Trying to get over the sprained knee. I was able to walk for about 40 minutes last night. The sidewalks were too icy, so I had to walk in the street. Have a great weekend.

Today was a mixed blessing sort of day. Started out good. My husband and older son were planning their skiing trip. It's Friday and tomorrow is my husband,s birthday and orthodox Christmas. Then my husband calls to tell me he's been in a minor fender bender at the car service (he, probably for the first time in his life for got to put on the emergency brake on his manual transmission car and it rolled and hit a gate...and the way it rolled and hit, it did a lot of damage. $6000 to repair his Honda Fit of which we have to pay $1000.). Then, with waiting to hear if he would need a ride or what was up with car, I had to miss my step aerobics class. I was feeling pretty awful until about noon.

Then I walked to my son,s elementary school wher I volunteer everyday and I felt better, then later I walked to get him from school andnthen after school we walked around the lake where he finally learned how to use the brake on his scooter and how to switch feet while using his scooter. And, my older son ad husband finally got to go skiing today (despite the really warm day, the slopes have enough snow to be open)

I'm still feeling iffy about today and I've been fighting hunger pangs so darn bad, but it's 6:15 and it seems I will survive the day, but it was a close one today. About gave into the aisles of treats everywherer in the grocery store. Yikes!

Darn it! I ate a bit more. Ate some trail mix. Could have been worse. Could have been some cake batter or ganache. At least I added in lots of protein, but today I was just starving. Total calorie count for today is: 1800. Not horrible, but definitely above 1450! So glad I got those walks in today though.

all liquid diet today. 3 Atkins shakes and a warm bowl of tomato, pepper soup minus the veg. I wanted nothing that my body would have to digest. Since dinner my intestines have gone into a riot. Hoping tomorrow will be better tomorrow.

Mamakat.... No more gluten, OK?

Morning everyone! Down another .4 today. Would have been more except for my inability to resist more food last night, but... It could have been worse choices. When your are hury, you are hungry.

Today is Christmas and my husband's birthday ,so it will be a high calorie day, but it will be one day of damage, not several days. That will help.

1/2 c Sliced Strawberries 25
1/2 tsp Honey 11
Only ate half the yogurt I made 64
1 Wheat Tortilla 130
2 slices roast beef 70
Large Handful mixed red and green baby greens 10
1 TBSP Newman's Lite Balsalmic 23 8
1/2c Green Grapes 55 managed 2 grapes 6
Sub Total 417 288

Dinner
5 pieces bbq chicken pizza 1500 ( shakes my head .. Ugh …/one of mom‘s creations)
1 roll 99
Gingerbread 220
Sub Total 1810

Daily Total 2391

Water 60 maybe if that

I ended up with a bad headache and nausea ( migraine ) a smell triggered it. Once the smell was gone I still had a pretty bad headache and nausea and felt drained, shaky, and generally discombobulated. After I totally removed myself from the environment I still had a residual headache ( to me feels like a bruise ) but the nausea subsided. Sort of wish it hadn’t since I gorged at dinner. Yuck! This morning I feel better the residual headache is down to just a little twinge. YAY!!

I was on the computer for maybe 5 mins last night and closed it down at around 9:30. I woke up this morning with my light still on at 6:30am. I didn't even wake up in the middle of the night to pee like I normally do. I was just exausted.

Diana~ thanks
ItsMyTurn~ thanks
Heath happy ~ welcome
Mamakat~ Hope those 2 weeks move quickly and you feel better soon

ilovemo Wow tortilla, with ground beef n veggies for all three meals?? I like them but?

KaylaChristine Great job in understanding your body, now if I could only understand my mind?

BuffJim Congrats on a 40 minute walk with a sprained knee.

Melissa Sorry you have been having a rough time lately, hang in there you are worth it

happyday Glad to hear your month long sickness is over,

Kede - Hi

mamakat - Hope you are feeling better today. You have been doing great with your weight loss!!

Healthhappy - Welcome

shishkeberry - Congratulations on your success quitting smoking!!

Moondance - Don't forget your blood pressure pill it's important. I sure can identify with water retention. Mine comes from sodium in the food. I never add at the table. I have gained 15 pounds in a single day because of it.

ItsMyTurn - "Made it through yesterday without doing vending machine damage to myself... yay!" Made me laugh because I identified with you.

Italiannie - I was excited when I got my ticker also

Diana3271 - Hope you are having a great weekend!

Qtkitty - Hi

I stayed on plan yesterday except for sodium which is still too high
1323 calories, 2760 mg sodium worked an hour cleaning up my garden to get it ready for spring planting, burned 540 calories.
I have not weighed myself yet today. ---- I am waiting until I trim my fingernails.

Larry
