I know how you feel; I do not take well to a change in plan. Though at least, with it being a chain and all, you can probably look up the offerings online if you're not already familiar -- to figure out the best choice.

Hope you have (had?) a suitable lunch! :-)

Oh gosh. I can definitely hear where you'd be frustrated - to put it mildly.

Luckily you're having a good week. You're in the "groove". That will make it much easier to make good choices.

You know, there ARE really good choices available at Tim Hortons:
Vegetable Beef Barley soup : 110 calories/1.5 g fat/2g dietary fiber
Italian Wedding Soup: 120 calories/3.0g fat/2 g dietary fiber
BBQ Chicken Wrap: 190 calories/ 4.0g fat/ 3 g dietary fiber
Perhaps coming up with a couple of "plan B"s in case of emergency will help with the irritation factor of leaving a planned meal behind...

Kiramira,
Thanks. I didn't know about the BBQ Chicken Wrap. I did stop at Tim's but they didn't have it, to my annoyance they didn't even have tuna sandwich (which would have been my choice). I realized I also had William's on the way back to work so I stopped there and got some minestroni soup. I actually lucked out we were treated to some meeting leftovers (catered food) so I had 3 sandwich "fingers" (white bread but there was no whole wheat) and quite a nice pile of raw veggie cuts (broccoli, cauli, red peppers, zukes and carrots). So I was able to eat before leaving for the appointment which made it so much easier to get distracted as was not hungry.

Thanks everybody for you nice posts!
