LOL that is hillirious i hope there gonna have toilets dotted out all over the place then .... I personally think that Xenical works better than reductil but i am percerviring with the Reductil right now but i lost more on Xenical but i fear that was cos of the Tagoed effect in the beginging than actully losing weight due to a healthy diet and Exercise if u KWIM.

Well so far so good...

No "tango" moments but I am working very hard to keep my fat content below 10g per meal. Must admit to being naughty and allowing myself 1 meal off a week (generally weekends) as the OH is complaining that we can't eat out any more! I am just making very careful choices for that one...

Oh Foxie, it's really not nice is it - as you say it should be enough to keep you off the fat now that you know what you might get in return --- Good luck with it

Unhappy

I started taking xenical yesterday! Could any one give me an idea of what a good menu would be when on this pill? I'm doing weight watchers and found its worked(about 1st in 3 weeks) but after looking it up on the web last night found I am scared of eating any thing with fat in it incase I get tangoed(made me LOL to read your description but pray it doesn’t happen to me)!

I've been taking it, and I eat the same foods my family does, just less of it. I understand that you can eat a certain amount of fat each meal. It's when you eat too much of it (Mcdonalds quarter pounder and fries), you will have the not so pleasant side effects. Zenical is a good tool to help get you accustomed to healthier eating habits.

Ooohhh...

This site's very impressive, I only registered a few minutes ago and already I know that I will never eat lasagne again! So that's a good start

well its been nearly two months since i started taking xenical and no lasagne effects as yet. i have kept my food intake healthy and low fat and the i am continuing to lose.in fact when i went for my monthly weigh in at the drs the nurse made me get on the scales twice cos i had lost a fair bit.
it gives instructions and advice in the leaflet that comes with the pills. "over consumption of fat and calories may reduce any weight loss effect" and "xenical should be taken with a well balanced, calorie controlled diet etc etc ..that contains an average of 30% of calories from fat". the medicine then takes about 30% of the fat eaten and allows it to pass through the gut undigested which will help with weight loss.

as for what to eat when taking it, just keep the fat down. i eat porridge, skim milk, veg and salads,w/meal pasta, cal counted meals, ham, chicken and fish etc. i still have my "treats" but in moderation and choose a lower fat variety - baked crisps, hummous, biscuits etc. the other day i had a real pig out (i was fed up), didnt take my xenical all day and didnt have any problems.mad
