Spent today reading and getting things ready to head back to school. So long day for me. Tomorrow going to another faculty members beach house, we are going crabbing and then eating what we catch!! Really looking forward to it! Hope the rain holds off!
LAURA - WOW Good for you!!! That is an amazing weight loss.
Shelley - I feel sorry for Becky's room mate, it must be hard not having money to be able to eat. Still no excuse to take Becky's food though.
Hi girls! I'm back! Did ya miss me???? SURE you did! LOL!
Shelley, hopefully things will settle in at the dorm. I agree, Becky may just need to lay down the law to the other girl. Do you feel better in a way now since you went to visit?
LAURA! AWESOME WEIGHT LOSS! YOU GO GIRL!
Debi, you will eat the little crabbies after you catch them? How do you prepare them? Like lobster were one drops the poor little guy into the boiling water?
Suzy, I hope you had a fun day quilting. How sweet of you to think of the animals! I bet they appreciate having something to snuggle up to in the kennel. I know our pup loves her blanket! Some mornings all that is sticking out is a little nose!
Our friend was leaving today, we called him last night just to touch base and to let him know we are thinking of him.
Have fun mowing Monica! YUCK!
Janice, how long do you think it will take Laura to reach you on donkey back? (giggles)
We had a busy weekend, we went to go help a friend move into his new house. I am so happy for him. He is divorced with his daughter and this house is just perfect for them. We went to Texas Roadhouse last night and I had a filet and salad. This morning it was IHOP and I had something with eggs, salsa, beef & cheese. Loaded with calories I'm sure!
Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided we shouldn't have crabs today!! It poured all day!! Oh well! We had an indoor picnic and food was great! This faculty member has spent a lot of time in the far East and we had authentic Thai, Vietnamese food, YUMMY!!!! Tons of calories and I don't care, I had the best time! Good friends, good food, great time, can't think of a better way to spend a rainy Sunday!
We have Ernesto headed our way. Looks like it could possibly hit where Becky is. I sure do miss her. She is supposed to come home this weekend for my mom's birthday. Today is her first day of classes.
I walked 12 miles yesterday, and I hurt all over. It's been about 8 weeks since I've run. I could hardly walk all day yesterday after my walk because of the PF. I can't let Mike know I walked. He was sleeping the whole time! It took me 3:45 to go that far (I stopped at my mom's and we walked very slow together, then I walked home.)
Hey all,
Had a good weekend, a little too much centered around food. We went to Chinatown for lunch to meet up with a friend in from Michigan, then dinner is South Philly (yummy Italian food) Saturday night. Then Sunday Billy (my husband) and I took my parents out for my Dad's birthday to a jazz brunch. It was a buffet - I love/hate buffets. I did pretty good for all that out to eat time, but this morning, I'm back on track with my own foods. How is everyone doing?
Shelley, stay safe! I hope Becky is ok...I KNOW your mom will love having her back for her birthday. How old will your mom be? BTW: HOw is your dad doing?
Debi, sorry you missed out on the little crabbies. Did you prepare the oriental food or did you guys do take-out? I love it too, other then I stick with the basics, I'm not very adventurous.
Laura, I'm back on track today too. I wish you much success on this next weigh-in!
Can I have some of whatever the heck Gayle is taking? Tankey for starting the new thread and keeping all these other gals in line for me. Next time, however, I'll have to remember to put someone in charge of our resident comedian!
Shelley: I forget if you're in the panhandle or on the peninsula. Whereever you are, stay dry and safe! Also, if your daughters are anything like me they won't stay away from Mom for too long at a time
Dee, I've never been depressed to the point of suicide, but I do suffer from anxiety (and have been on meds for it for years now). I feel for you, Larry and Dez. Give her a hug from her "auntie" Cheryl, please. Give yourself a hug from me, too. It's gotta be tough for you going through all of this family stuff.
Monica, hold out for what you think is a good price for your house! Did you really mean 30 MILLION on your new house in Arizona? Dang, gal!
Suzy, Janice, Linda, Carol and Debi--thank you all for hanging out and just being your great selves! Carol, lay the cheeseburger down and take one step back!!!!
I hope you all had a decent weekend. I had a pretty good time. Went dancing Friday AND Saturday night so hopefully the scale will show a loss this week. I've cut out eating those frozen dinners too. Maybe that will help out with the sodium intake.
How is everything going for everyone? Here's a for everybody. I know life's problems can overwhelm you sometimes. Just take a deep breath and know that we are here for you -- even if it's just to listen.
Welcome back Cheryl, hope you had a good time.
Gayle - I rejoined WW last week I had missed three weeks so I had missed week coupons. I will weigh in on Wednesday. I still have my ups and downs. I wish I could just go to sleep at night instead of thinking of what I could eat.
I go to the arthritis specialist on Wednesday for a shot. I think he is going to put me on the methatroxate that I will have to give myself a needle everyweek. I am scared to death of needles.
Have you guys tried the sugar free cinnamon rolls in the refrigerated section? You bake them, then add the icing package. They are really good and a decent portion size for 110 calories. YUMM-OOOO!
Made taco soup for dinner tonight, back OP and the domestic goddess once again.
Janice, I will be thinking of you....I can't stand needles either, one reason I can't give blood...I get light headed. BEST WISHES SENT!
Cheryl, glad your back sweetie! I didn't know how much more humor these girls could take from me. You are unofficially back in charge as the official thread starter.
Welcome back, Cheryl! I live in SW Fl. We're still not sure what's going to happen with Ernesto. Right now, he's not a big deal.
Gayle-Thanks for asking about my dad. He is doing great, although my mom (she'll be 83) called this morning to say he spent the entire day yesterday putting up the storm shutters. I'm sure he'll be paying today with aches and pains. I think it probably makes him feel good to do it though.
Janice-Do you always take your meds by injection? I don't think I could handle that one bit. I hope your arthritis pain subsides quickly. Also, good luck at WI tomorrow. I'm with you on going to sleep without thinking of my next mouthful of food!
