Good Afternoon!
Missed getting on line the last few days. Are all of you using WW Core program? I used the ww points system many years ago. While walking last night made the big decision to try to use that again. Did GREAT yesterday...one day down, lifestyle changes to go!!

How often do you each weigh? I weighed yesterday morning, but am considering once a week here at the start. Last time after I reached goal (yes, I'm a YO YO) I weighed every day and that seemed to keep me on task - then some how, some where the task left!

Janice - sorry to hear of your pain. Having pain can be very frustrating and stressful!

Gayle and Sherry - I'm INSPIRED!!

Now I just need to acquaint myself with all of you!! I will have to read your bios - but Gayle speaks highly about this fun group!
Everyone have a great evening and good luck on your goals! Now off to count up pts from my Dillions Salad from lunch - not quite sure I remember how!

Hi my name is Erin. I'm from south Jersey. I'm 25 years old and i just joined WW. Do you gals have room for one more? I just got married 3 months ago and the honeymoon food and holiday food has caught up with me. I had lost weight and now i am starting to gain it back and i want to stop it before its too late. I want to be in good shape and be healthy for when we start having children so losing that weight wont be so hard and the pregnancies will be more likely to be healthy. Ok so i am rambling.... Anyway.. Is there room for not so little ol me? I'll be good i promise.

Erin

Welcome Erin!
The Floozies are a wonderful group of ladies and you are more than welcome here! Congratulations on your marriage and the decision to lose weight and be healthy! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

Bev ~ I count calories and weigh-in once a week or so.

Dee ~ Thanks for the encouragement! You're right, Tim's home now and I don't have any more excuses...

A lot of the hospital workers here have started wearing croc's. I guess they are really comfy and can be disinfected easily!

Follow your doctor's orders and take it easy while you're gone! Check in as much as you can...we're going to miss you!

Travis called tonight! He sounded so good! Just 10 more weeks and he'll be back in the states! (for the newbies...he's an MP in the Marine Corps depolyed in Iraq since September) I really need to get my bum moving and get these last 5 pounds off!!!

WELCOME ERIN!!! Feel free to join in!!! This is a GREAT group of WONDERFUL ladies who will offer their friendship & support! Congrats on the marriage and the loss of 55 pounds lost!

Bev, so happy your here too! These girls are the bestest! You will love each one as you get to know them. If my memory serves me correct... Shelley & I are doing core... Janice & Sher are low carbing... Suzy & a few others watch portions & count calories...Dee is doing the WW point system. We have a few others here on the board but I can't remember all of the plans.
YIPPEEE for choosing WW's! You will do great!
BTW: I weigh daily just to stay on track but only record my weight once a week on Mondays.

Suzy, I bet you can't wait to hold Travis again!
OK! Gayle the Drill Sargeant here! YOU HAVE 10 WEEKS TO LOSE 5 POUNDS!!! 1/2 POUND A WEEK AND YOU CAN MEET GOAL!!!! You have two very important reasons to meet your goal...Travis is coming home plus I want to have a SUZY MEETS GOAL PARTY HERE WITH OUR GROUP!

Dee, I keep looking at the crocs wondering if I would like them. It seems like your feet would get really hot since they are made of a rubber like material. I'm like Suzy, I see several of the medical profession wearing them.
Are you ready for the big trip??? Think of all of us as your sitting by the beach sipping your foo-foo drink and checking out the beach studs in the speedos!! LOL!

Dee-Fashion Police here!! I think those Crocs are the ugliest things I've ever seen! They have them at Dillard's in every color under the sun. Wow! You are staying in PV for quite sometime this year! Enjoy!! I can't remember the thing you dressed for last year. Wasn't it a Diva princess or something like that? Refresh my memory. I do remember the gecko story though!

Bev-Gayle is right on. I'm on Core, but kind of Core maintenance, since I really don't want to lose. Actually, I gained another lb. this week. I go up and down 2-4 lbs. My face gets very haggard if I go below 124. Glad to see you over at the exercise thread! My exercise of choice is running. It helps relieve some of the stress in my life (stress??? who's stressed???)

Patty received an xrated item in the mail yesterday. We are all freaked out over this. The invoice was addressed to a man in Cape Coral and the ship to address was Patty at our address. Mike is going to call the company today to see if it was a mistake. If not, this guy is in big trouble.

Shelley--I hope that x-rated item was a huge mistake!! How awful!

Dee--I think those shoes are FUGLY! But, the people I know who wear them LOVE them. I've been seriously thinking about getting a pair of them

Stewart took me to Tunica, Mississippi (to the casinos) for a late birthday week-end last weekend. He spent $200 on a hotel room for us and $50 on food and gave me money to gamble on. Someone wanted to reward him for his good behavior, because --as we were leaving-- he hit for $1,500 on the five-dollar slot machines!

WOW CHERYL!!! You REALLY did have a wonderful weekend! Did sweetie Stewart share his winnings with you like any good husband should??? LOL!
This must be your lucky month! I hope the rest of the year continues this way!

Dee, I think the crocs are kinda weird looking too...but I have heard they are super comfy!!! They remind me of little dutch shoes but in funky colors.

Shelley, I hope it was a HUGE mistake on the companies part. I am sure everyone was shocked, I can't even imagine how Patty must of felt.

Gayle ~ You're right...it's only 5 pounds. I can do it! I really have been sliding backwards...I guess I have been thinking that I'm close enough to my goal that I don't have to be as careful about what I eat. WELL with that attitude I'll be right back where I started in no time and I've come to far to let that happen! So this morning I'm cleaning out the refrigerator and cupboards of all the bad stuff that has crept its way back into the house AND I'm going to drink more water and count every single calorie until it becomes habit again!

Shelley ~ I hope you can get to the bottom of the package that Patty received! If you don't get an explanation from the company that it came from then I would contact the police and the post office!

Cheryl ~ It sounds like you had a positively wonderful weekend! What a great birthday you had!

Barb I have bounced up and down all my life. You think that I would know better after doing it one time. It is a tough job to lose the weight so why do we graze our way up the scale? I weigh myself once a week. If I weigh more it is to dissapointing when I am up.

Erin welcome to the gang. We always have room for one more. Congratulations on getting married. We are here to inspire you.

Suzy crocs were first worn in the operating room. I can't beleive how comfy they are. I haven't taken them off my feet when I have been home. Dez has been wearing them all the time too.
Wow 10 more weeks and Travis will be home. I guess it doesn't sound like that far away considering that he has been gone since september. I am sure when you see him he will be more mature than the last time. How old is he again? I think he is close to my son Jay's age. He is 22.
Getting to comfy near goal is a BIG MISTAKE! That is how I gainned my weight back. Keep focused!

Gayle your right I count points. You have a good memory. I know that Crocs look like weird, comfy, funky colors, dutch shoes but I love my Crocs! They have vent holes in them to keep your feet cool. I am wearing my barefeet and my feet don't sweat. Never say never til you give them a try. They are great for people that are standing on their feet all day.

Shelley my fashion police! lol At first, I too thought they were the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. They grow on you after awhile.
Now you have to get your story straight here.
I was a Princess for our anniversary and every other day too but that was when I was dressed as one.
I am ordained a Goddess when in PV a few years ago.
So that is how I became a GP hense a Goddess Princess.
Got it? lol
Poor Patty! That is awful, I can't beleive something like that could have happenned. I hope that gets straightened out soon.

Cheryl I love my Crocs and Dez does too now! Go for it, get yourself a pair. You won't beleive how comfy they are.
Steward is so sweet to take you on your weekend trip. How lucky you are to have him. I think we have another Princess on board. That is a nice wind fall that Steward had. It doesn't happen that often.

Dez is taking me to a spa tomorrow and we are going to have a tandom couples massage. Then after that we are free to use their facilities. They have a mineral spa with temps at 92, steam room, hot tub and a fruit buffet. That is her birthday gift for me. It will be nice because I won't get to see her much after that before I leave.
Then in the evening tomorrow Larry, and the kids are taking me out for dinner. It should be a nice day.

Three more sleeps to go and I am out of here. Yipee! I am going to miss you guys but I will be checking in.

Thank you all for thank nice welcome. I feel so loved. Today was just one of those "pre-period-I'm-going-to-eat-everything-that's-not-nailed-down" kind of days. To bad i weigh in for the first time tomorrow night. I keep having these visions where the group leader clicks her tougue at me and tells me to leave because I'm a lost cause and i have disgraced the Weight Watchers franchise. I like to imagine the worst thing that could happen so when it does I'm not shocked. Anyway....Thank you again for the nice welcome.

Erin, good luck with weigh-in! I had a week like that last week...I wanted chocolate, sugar, just anything! I recovered this week and even went on to lose a few pounds. Just remember, if you do show no loss or a gain, it is probably fluid since TOM is near. If she clicks her tongue at you, we'll come rough her up for ya!!! :-) LOL! Again, GOOD LUCK!

Boy, did I eat last night! We had spaghetti with regular pasta (not ww.) I couldn't stop eating, and this morning I am so bloated. What is my problem lately? I can't seem to stop thinking about food. The sad part is that I just don't even want to motivate myself. I am really craving chocolate, and haven't had any, other than the ff/sf fudgsicles. I may need to take a break from the stringent way I've been eating. Gayle, you may want to printout information on the WW site to keep. I might decide to stop for a bit. (Please talk me out of this!) It might be the fact that I'm running harder and longer.

Shelley, how about if you try "hard core" and eat more protein and stay away from the sweetened stuff? I'm not sure if it is my imagination, but even if I eat stuff sweetened with splenda, it will cause sugar cravings for me. Also, it may not work for you, but FF milk has been a lifesaver for me! Odd huh? If I am hungry, I can drink a cup of milk and sometimes add a piece of fruit along with it. This gets me by for quite a while. In fact, it is soooo strange....I can eat a larger breakfast of oatmeal or eggs and go to work. Usually by the time I get home, I'm starving! OR I can drink one cup of milk and be just fine until I get home. I never thought a little milk would satisfy me.
I really think your body is telling you it needs more (good) food to recover from all the energy you use running. Do you use all of you points allowed each week plus your AP's? I hope it doesn't sound like I'm coming down hard on you Shelley, but you have came so far, I hate to see you backslide...you are a great inspiration to me and others. If you need a shoulder, email me anytime!

Cheryl, I've been meaning to tell you something. Right about the same time you posted about the sighing as a tool to measure your hunger while eating, I also read about it here on the net. I decided to listen to my body and see if it works...and yes it does! Steve laughed at me when I explained it to him, but then a few nights later during mealtime he said he hated to admit it but me and all my net buddies are right!

Bev, are you going to do WW's online or do meetings? If you have any WW questions, Dee & Shelley are the ones to ask. They continue to keep me inspired when I am having thoughts of donuts etc!!!!!

Sher-bear, where you be?????? Come back out and play, K????

Suzy, I am POSITIVE you will meet goal! Have you went out and purchased new clothes yet? You deserve it!

Where is Vickster, Doni, Deb???? Please come post and let us know how life is treating you!!!

Shelley ~ I have been having the same thoughts and we CAN'T let ourselves do it or we will be right back where we started and neither one of us wants that to happen. You are maintaining though and if you are running harder and longer then maybe you do need to increase your calories. I know I need to rebreak some bad eating habits! I haven't been very careful about what I have been eating and some of those old habits have come creeping back.

Erin ~ Good luck with your weigh-in today!

Dee ~ Travis turned 20 just before he left for Iraq in September. He will be home for 2 weeks in April and I can hardly wait...I haven't seen him in over a year!
