Morning all. TGIF!!

Shad – Hope your corn and tomatoes start to come around. Oh, the smell of baking bread! That’s probably in my top 5 of wonderful smells! Yikes, May 9th isn’t all that far off!! Yes, I’d have to say my miscellaneous aches and pains are also probably due to non-movement. My lower back was a bit sore a couple weeks back, but now that I’ve been doing some exercise, it’s disappeared.

Annie – Enjoy the mild weather. Congratulations to you and C and have a lovely 3rd anniversary celebration.

Ceejay – Bummer about the lost post. I’ve been doing the cut and paste thing for a long time now because it’s so frustrating to lose a post.

Michelle – I’m so sorry you won’t be able to participate in the half marathon, but it sounds like continuing to train and doing that much walking and running would only make whatever’s going on worse. Best to ease up and let yourself heal before building back up on your distance. I hope you can get a deferral. Oh, and try not to be bummed – look at how far you’ve come in such little time!

Hellos to the rest of you! Everyone have a great weekend and stay out of trouble!

One of those hormonal headaches started right around lunchtime yesterday and the generic Excedrin migraine, which is usually very effective for me, didn’t do anything. After work I took a couple more (stomach bleeding warnings be damned!) and it finally faded. Then at bedtime I felt like I had a UTI and was up past midnight reading. Something woke me up around 4:30 am and I didn’t really get back to sleep. When the alarm went off, I hit the snooze button once, but then got up and did a work out. I’m definitely short on sleep today, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be losing steam sometime this afternoon…

Nothing planned for this weekend. The weather’s looking good, so I might just get my bikes out and get the tires inflated and otherwise ready to ride. Earlier this week, bf bought one of those small electric tire inflators like one we had before it conked out a few years ago. (We’d replaced it with a big air compressor a couple years ago that’s way more trouble than it’s worth – what a waste that was. ) Anyway, it’ll be nice to go out for a spin on the bike this weekend, and next week I’ll start riding my commuter bike to the train.

That’s about it for me. Toodles!

Hi girls,

Yikes the time passes so quickly. Seems like the White Rabbit I am always rushing. It's a beautiful day outside - I had wanted to spend it outside cleaning the garage but I was determined to handle what I thought was a few niggling little things - refill my vitamin D prescription, order some supplies for the thrift shop, send out a few business emails, order some grocery items I can't get in local stores here, etc. DH went out to take some pictures and when he came back he said "what happened to spending the day cleaning???" It was one of those things that little tiny stuff took ALL day to take care of. It is breezy outside and 72 degrees - most unusual for her now. I wish we could take the UTV out to dinner tonight but there is an extreme fire warning up this way. Humidity is at about 23 percent and everything is tinder dry. That is scary as we have so many trees up here - you might think you only get wildfires on the west coast but they are every bit of a danger up here. We have lots of smokers and people who burn their trash so I hope people are mindful. I tried to get a doctor's appointment for DH and I to get our eyes checked - I am still hopeful another doctor can give me glasses that work. Next open appointments are July 22!!!!!! And we have about 6 eye doctors in town. Crazy trying to get a doctor up this way. I hate to drive the 90 minutes to Duluth to get an earlier appointment. Oh well, my eyes can only get worse in the next 3 months I noticed coming home yesterday that I'm not sure I'd be comfortable driving at night right now.

I finished physical therapy yesterday. Knee is still killing me. Might need the cortesone shot. Did ok at WW last night too - didn't gain anything although I was ravenous for real food all week long. Not sweets - food. I ate a half an acorn squash for dinner last night - it was delicious. In fact most of my plate was vegetables. DH is bummed that his trip next week for a photography class at the waterfalls may be marred by cold and rainy weather. Nothing else of interest on my end here.

Michelle - I am very sorry to hear about your back woes and it preventing you from the marathon. I know you were really excited about it but I think that following your doctor's advice is the best thing for you. I'm still not a fan of running - I think it's really hard on the old bones but not even being able to walk it I hope you can at least enjoy the park and you will no doubt get in lots of steps just touring the place. Is this something sudden (the inflammation) or something you might have to live with forever?

Laura - I'm with you on the wonderful smell of fresh baked bread. Sorry about the migraine - geez we ARE a bunch of painful ladies, aren't we I hope the weather holds up for a wonderful bike ride out on the paths. Yay spring!!

Annie - happy anniversary to you and C. No, I cannot believe it's 3 years you are married already and Royce is in the terrible twos. Time does pass quickly. Hope you and C can have a nice day together to celebrate instead of just catching up on chores and sleep. I like the new lamp AND all those pretty pictures on the wall. I love pictures on the wall - best decorations ever!!!

Ceejay- are you done working the extra hours or are you working the weekend? It's getting annoying losing posts, isn't it?

Shad - sorry but I am smiling at the idea of your clothing flying out the door. ODDU sounds like a real character. I guess it's good he's cute. I too have had issues with cutting bread slices to the right size. The crust and density of the bread have to be just right otherwise it gets crushed or two thick. I did buy a bread knife - serrated edge and that helps alot. I'm thinking you won't mind if you start date gets pushed back even further, right?

Hi to Susie and Dee. I have to jump in the shower or I will miss "the bus" for our dinner plans tonight. Can't make DH wait. Have a good weekend everyone.

Hopefully I will be done tomorrow with the extra time I'm working for L. And hopefully I'm
done for good. But I know I will be august.
I'm on my computer at home and it's giving me fits by changing the size of the page. Ugh.
I haven't felt good the past couple of weeks. I now know why. I've made an appointment with the gynecologist for April 27th to find out why I'm having a "tom". at 65 years old!
I should be getting to bed, I'll try to post this and do personals in the morning

Good morning ladies,

Last 2 days it has been gorgeous outside in the 70's. Today is cloudy but still mild. My arthritis is flaring something horrible - my knees, ankles and even my wrists are in crippling pain. Over the counter pain meds don't do a thing for it. Last night I sat in an epsom salt bath soak and even broke down and put some linament on my knee. It feels a touch better this morning but now the other knee is making up for it. It's not like I ate a bunch of sugar or tomatoes - anything that raises the inflammation so I don't know what is going on. I haven't gone for my knee x-ray yet as I don't see the doctor again until June 1. I think I need the cortesone shot but I'm not going to be able to get in to see her before I leave for Chicago. I actually had to pull out my cane yesterday because I turned in the closet and the pain was so bad I could not put any weight on it. This is when it's frustrating up here trying to get in to see the doctor...

Yesterday I got into the garage for a while and started to go through boxes. Finally found my sewing box with my needles and thread and sewing notions that I have pretty much replaced! I found some cleaning supplies, some baking supplies I tossed out. There are a few things I can donate to the thrift shop too. I wished I could have spent more time in there but I had to get ready as DH and I were volunteering for a Humane Society event that evening. A couple of Canadian folks put together a series of short films about dogs. They bundled the package and offered it to any Humane Society that was interested to use as a fund raiser. It's called the Bow Wow Wow film festival. Our old time movie theater in town has been turned into a performance arts venue and we showed it there. Besides the films, we had a raffle and auction to raise money for the "Texas 29". On Easter weekend we took in 29 small dogs from a hoarding situation when the shelters down there were filled to capacity. Last night's event helped to cover the costs of transportation, medical care and spay and neutering. Advance ticket sales were slow and I was concerned about the "success" of this idea but I was happily surprised as people poured in through the doors. We made twice what we had hoped to raise and had about 110 people in attendance. The theater was about 2/3 full. A good showing for a quiet sleepy weekend in town. I was taking tickets, DH was handing out programs. I was on my feet most of the night which I know did not help my knee. I have to run over to the thrift shop later this afternoon to process the credit card receipts from last night's event. As luck would have it, they decided this week to open the shop back on Sunday's again so I have to wait until the close out the day's sales before I can go process the credit cards so I don't mix shop sales with shelter business. I'm going to try and spend more time in the garage today.

One of the volunteers told me that on Friday some girl came in, took a bunch of the clothes from the boutique into the rest room to "try on" and then came out dressed in layers. She then attempted to walk out the store with a $30 purse. A $30 purse from us is worth about $100 retail so it was a better bag. I guess she tried to run down the alley and someone pursued her and got the purse back but she got away with the clothing. What is going on with the theft all of a sudden?????

I was in the store with DH yesterday. Our friend works in the morning and Eric usually stops in to chat with him. In walks this tall drink of water - a very thin woman in her 30's. All she had on was a man's denim shirt belted at the waist. She was wearing what we call "hooker heels" very high gold shoes she could barely walk in. She did have a very smart hat on but her "dress" barely covered her butt and lady bits. DH was commenting to Bruce and they were being pigs. I told DH to put his eyes back in his head It was one of those situations that we all try and pretend isn't happening. Actually DH was not gawking, he said he would never let his girlfriend/wife/daughter even walk out of the house like that. I agreed - don't think she would have raised more eyes if she walked in stark naked. It would have been a really cute outfit if she had skinny leggings on under it.

Since the weather has warmed up - only in the northwoods can it be 72 degrees outside and we still have piles of snow underneath the brush in shady areas. Mother Nature's way of allowing you to cool off if you get too hot We've been on the look out for the bears. This morning one of the birdfeeders was pulled down and cracked in half. That's how we know they are around. Last night after we got home about an hour later there was a youngin' out by the birdfeeder pole. We had taken everything down before we left last night. He looked to be about 2 - probably just kicked out of the den. Last year we had 8 bears - more than we've ever seen. I hope we don't get that many this year. We stop feeding when we see them - only put out the small seed trays during the day and maybe a cup of corn to DH's favorite deer but once the bears show up, most everything else disappears - another sign to be on the lookout.

Ceejay - I had a situation like yours - TOM showed up about 3 years after menopause set in and it had stopped. I blamed it on my coworker but it turned out to be some polyps. A D&C took care of it just fine. You should get it checked out but it's probably nothing much. Keep us posted.

Hope the rest of you are enjoying your weekend. I should get off the computer - I think too much sitting is contributing to the knee issues. And I'd like to make it through the garage today.

Hellos to all the chicks

Happy
I'm definitely getting this problem checked. It seems to have started after I went to the gynecologist. When you work in the pubic never be amazed at what you see.

---------
I've mentioned that we had some mechanical problems this week. I did run the back wash pit over by not turning off the rewash valve on the back wash procedure. But they would have never found the pump not working otherwise! I did notice that T was watching me on camera the other day so I may get wrote up for this. I really don't care. I'm taking my resignation letter in this week if they do write me up they will be getting this and tell them if they want me to retire earlier than this I will be glad to. I've wanted to retire long before now. It's just that my siblings have insisted I wait till I'm 66 and I'm thinking that they are carrying out my mom's wishes of not wanting me to quit to early. Yes, I'm upset, but I will get over it. Thanks for letting me vent.

Hello's to the rest. Have a good Sunday.

Good Morning....Monday again, funny how that rolls around so quickly and the weekend feels like it only lasted about two hours.

Our anniversary was nothing too exciting. We didn't go to church..bad Annie, instead we just laid there laughing at each other and Sassy. We got up, C took an epsom salt bath while I made cinnamon apple muffins and a pot of coffee. C ate, I drank coffee. We then got ready and went to lunch at Red Lobster for our anniversary celebration. It was delish. Stopped by Michael's for a bit, took him some muffins, hoping he would eat. His meds are making him sick and vomit. He needs to eat more so this doesn't happen. Home again, I cleaned out the front flower bed while C replaced a panel in the shed and reinforced all of it. Cleaned myself up a bit, C went to do his pull ups and I to the grocery. Home, unload, put away, then off to Sam's to get hair colored. Busy day, was exhausted last night. Happy Anniversary,,,haha

Sis and I took Royce for his two year pics on Saturday. That was a big no go. He was not in the mood, through a hissy, so no pics. Will try again Tuesday. He did fall asleep in the car as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot. Guess he needed a nap worse than pictures. I can relate to that. lol. Made a few more stops then came home. Laundry and unloaded the dishwasher. C ate leftovers for dinner so it was an easy night.

CEEG...I am so happy you are retiring, your job is stressful and causes your grief at times. Yes do get yourself check out by the doc. Don't need any BS as retirement approaches.

HAPPY..ole arthur is giving me a run for my sanity also. Let's just say that instead of picking a painful area, it all hurts now and again. Constant. Now I have more sympathy for my momma that used to tell me. "I just hurt". Makes my eyes water thinking of her that way. Yikes on the bears, I am not a fan. Eight bears last year is about 9 too many in my books. I heard on the radio this morning there are now food trucks for dogs in a couple of states, I believe Oregon and some other state that way. They serve bacon "pupcakes", chicken feet treats which made me think of your broth, and duck neck treats. GROSS! Whenever I think of you and the chicken feet, I think of the movie "Overboard" with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn where she is trying to cook a chicken in a pot on the stove and the feet are sticking up out of the pot and she cannot get the lid on. One of my go to movies too! Great if you need a laugh. About the woman not dressed so to speak. She has low self esteem thinking she needs to dress that way to get attention and respect. Should of asked her what her momma would think, but then again probably learned it from her. OMG, pretty low to steal from a thrift shop. Thank God she didn't have a gun for whomever chased her. We were not allowed to chase people down when I worked at CVS. A gallon of milk wasn't worth our life. Doctors are not much better here, if we are a new patient for any specialist, unless you are referred (which my insurance does not require), it takes months to get into them. I do have an ankle specialist appt tomorrow to try the cortisone shot again, however it did not do much good that last time. Prayers for us all as I have noticed when I am hurting, I am not a very nice person, especially to C. Poor C, oh well he can just go take a nap and get away from me. haha. The commune must have several specialists on board at the clinic/therapy/hospital.

LAURA...hope your migraine went away as fast as it came on. Migraines just suck. Thank God I don't have to deal with those too! Did you get to go on your bike ride this past weekend, it was gorgeous here. Sunny and 80s all weekend long, looks like next weekend will be more of the same for us.

CHELLE...sorry about your back. DO NOT OVERDO IT and walk/run the marathon. You want to end up bed ridden. It is not worth you getting down. Hugs sister.

SHADDIE...love the stories about ODDU. He is so stinking cute but also a little hellion, like my grandson, Royce. Hope they never get together! Greenbeans, my favorite, wish I had a mess of your garden beans. Yummy. We have a bread make also, but don't make bread ever since I cannot eat it much. Swells in my tummy and makes me puke. Beside I love the end pieces, so if you cut the loaf in half, tadah, two end pieces. haha.

SUSIE...hope you enjoyed your beautiful weekend also.

I may take tomorrow off. I have a doc appt and other things I need to do.

All from me for now. Make it a great day/night. Hugs all.

Hi there ladies,

It's a bit cooler today - probably better for yard work however I will be busy with some cooking, laundry, cleaning and then I hope to make it back into the garage again because DH will be bugging me to finish up so he can put the cars back into the garage. Tomorrow we have to take the car up to Duluth for recall/ service/something I don't remember. It means I get to swing by my favorite specialty grocery store and that means SUSHI!!!! I haven't had it in months. They also have a wonderful seafood selection so might pick up a thing or two. I think DH also talked about stopping on the way back at a state park that has a pretty waterfall. He has a new camera filter he wants to try out in advance of his photography class and that's a perfect subject for it. Just looks like the April rains have finally shown up and it's going to be a wet week for us. Wednesday they are coming to put the new frame on the front door. I sincerely hope for all our sakes that this fits right. The door is so crooked right now that when the wind blows, it sounds like a cat is screeching like you stepped on it's tail. Doesn't seem to bother the cats though.

Annie - sounds like you have a typical "older crowd" type of anniversary celebration. Dinner and relaxing. Nothing wrong with that. Sorry C is having issues with the meds - some of them do that - take away your appetite when you have to take them with meals and then they make you even more sick. I have to smile at your stories about Royce - I wonder if he's be an only child if he came out first You never know what's going to pop out at delivery time. Funny how two kids can be so different. And they wonder why momma has favorites I think the hellions tend to be more creative - maybe he is the one who will make enough to take care of the folks in their old age. Thank you for mentioning chicken feet - I need to make some bone broth/chicken soup in addition to the minestrone I had planned. Almost forgot about that. I hear you on the pain making you a not so nice person. It is hard to be cheerful when you are in such pain all the time. I feel the same way - little things get on my nerves so much easier. I have to work hard to keep things in perspective. Thank you also for mentioning that you have trouble getting into the doctors also. That makes me feel better - I thought it was because we are more remote and the doctors often practice in 2 or 3 locations so they are only here a couple of days a week instead of the typical 4 or 5. I don't know what it is - doctors are backed up and over booked and the pharmacies are ALWAYS busy no matter what time of day or year it is. Is everyone so sick all the time???? I think we need some holistic practitioners at the commune.

Guess I will have to come back to catch up with the rest of you ladies. Happy start of the week.

Afternoon all. Happy Monday. Another lovely day out there after a wonderful weekend of warmth and sunshine.

Happy – We had wonderful weather here too. Just gorgeous. I hope the weather turns out nice for your dh’s photography class.--- I’m sorry you’re in such pain – glad the Epsom salt bath & liniment helped a bit. I bet you’re really looking forward to having the hot tub!! I hope a cortisone shot helps reduce the inflammation and calms everything down, or at the very least, in your knee. --- Great job maintaining. It’s not a loss, but better than a gain!!--- Can’t believe how long you’d have to wait for an eye dr appointment!!! If it were me, I’d go to one in Duluth and plan some other activities that day.---Good job making headway on the boxes in the garage. Hope you find more time to finish it and get that niggle off the brain. ---Wonderful fundraising result for the shelter! Now you have to deal with the thieves!!---That lady with the missing pants just likes the attention, even if it’s the wrong kind.---Oh gosh, be careful out there now that the bears are roaming around!

Ceejay – Gosh that was a lot of OT you worked! Between the mechanical issues you deal with and having to work long hours to cover for co-workers who take time off, that’s a physically demanding job at times. Like Annie, I’m glad you’ll be retiring and get to kick back a bit. If you end up getting bored or needing to supplement your income, you’ll be living in an area where it might be easier to get a part-time job with few hours. ---OMG, TOM at aged 65! Enough is enough! Wonder what the gyne will say!

Annie – Sounds like a busy weekend. Your anniversary celebratory lunch sounds nice and low key – too bad the rest of your weekend wasn’t a bit slower!! Whatever kind of headache it is that I get seems to be gone now – especially since TOM is over.

Hellos to the rest of you!
==
My weekend was uneventful.

I’ve been dealing with carpal tunnel type feelings in my right hand/wrist the past couple weeks and was fretting about it when I had an epiphany on Friday afternoon. A couple weeks ago I’d realized that this wasn’t caused by working at the computer. It’s from using the cell phone. But I still didn’t understand why, because I’ve had the same phone for about 3 years now and I really don’t use my phone all that much – not much texting and I don’t play games on it. It finally occurred to me that it was my new phone cover which I’ve had a couple months now. It doesn’t have cutouts for the volume and other buttons on the sides of the phone – just firm-ish plastic, which makes it much harder to push the buttons. I took the case off my phone and when I got home I put on my old cover – it has cutouts for the buttons. I’m going to take some aleve or ibuprofen for a week and hopefully the inflammation will go down and the symptoms won’t come back.

Bf installed the new thermostat on Friday. It has a remote sensor and uses the home wi-fi to communicate data. Fancier than it needs to be – I’m just looking forward to being able to adjust it via the cell phone app, lol.

Saturday and Sunday were just the usual weekend stuff – puttering around the house, laundry, errands and taking doggy for his walks. Lovely weather and I did a wee bit of cleanup in the yard, though I still have to get some leaves out of certain spots. It was nice to be outside with doggy. I did NOT get out on the bike this weekend, but bf did inflate the tires of my commuter bike and moved it up to the garage for me. I rode it to the train this morning. I’ve put a reminder in my phone so I don’t forget about my bike when I get off the train today. I wouldn’t do that if that hadn’t happened once (or twice) in the past!

Sunday I went to Walmart and tried on a couple pairs of Lee jeans while I was there. I didn't like how they fit. I'm not liking how most of my clothes are fitting these days!! I need to get back on the weight loss and exercise track. I did a workout on Saturday morning. I did NOT get up early and exercise this morning, so maybe I'll get out in the yard after work and rake the leaves out of the garden bed and then sprinkle some preen on there. On Saturday morning I took a couple items out of the freezer to thaw - Saturday for dinner we had grilled Italian sausage and Sunday we had grilled marinated chicken breast. It'll be another nice evening to grill something for dinner, but I bet bf won't think to defrost something and we will be asking each other what we want to do about dinner. Sigh.

That’s about it for me! I’ll get this posted now.

Did someone say I had a stressful job. lol Just at times. even today they planned and are draining a ground storage tank for the purpose of inspection. I did use up about 1/2 the water by pumping it out to the system but their just wasn't enough their to pump the rest of the way. It's about through draining. I hate to waste all that water. Will have to run things differently.
I have hit my step goal for today and I'm not going to worry about my exercise for today. If going up and down the stairs and out to the tank 10 times today doesn't count then I give up. sigh. Night shift operator is going to complain big time but she can either stay home or shut up one
I'm hoping that I'm being paranoid about the incident the other day. T was in a good mood this morning and I haven't heard from B so I'm holding my breath so to speak
I did bring my resignation letter with me to work this morning, just in case.
I started to fill out my Social Security form for benefits to start around my birthday, but was lacking some information. I may go to the ss office in Jonesboro this week end also. My 2015 income still has not posted.

Happy
I need to take my Rav4 back to the dealership for a recall about a seat belt issue. I will call tomorrow about that and see if I can schedule that after my doctors appointment.

Laura
I only had one day off this week but I enjoyed it. I did get the laundry done while sitting and relaxing and being away from this place.

Annie
I'm glad you had a quiet day celebration. Sometimes that's what the body, mind and spirit needs.

geez, took forever for this site to respond...

Shad - what's going on with you? Is this a reaction to medication or are you just under the weather and they can't get you right? Please feel better and keep us posted.

Ceejay - will be nice to be done with work. As one of my (still working) coworkers said about the last place I worked - all you are missing is the drama I think he's right! Toyota seems to be having alot of recalls lately. We have to take the Avalon in for one. DH thoroughly cleaned both cars yesterday. He said the difference in quality was astounding. We have a 2003 Avalon and a 2014 4Runner. The 4Runner floor boards are deteriorating and the Avalon's leather seats are looking way better than the 4Runner. I told DH I'd be hard pressed to trade in the Avalon even if the old girl is showing some squeeks and bumps. Even I could tell the cheaper materials... You reminded me that I was supposed to give some thought about filing for Social Security - thanks! Yikes, that's alot of up and down stairs for you. Hope your knees are not complaining today.

Laura - looks like it's going to be a rainy week when I get there. Then again the weather can change tomorrow. I suppose the April rains have to come some time. My sister said it was in the 80's yesterday. So nice to open the windows and air the house out. I do like Lee jeans myself but I think they occasionally tweek the styling just enough so that they fit differently. I will buy a style I like, then go to replace it 6 months later and think - why did I like this. Of course it's always a nice incentive to drop a few pounds, especially with the warmer weather coming around the corner but still - I think the fit has a bit to do with them too. Hope you found something for dinner - I am all too familiar with the what's for dinner conversation. Yesterday I put a pot roast in the pressure cooker with tomatoes, onions, carrots and potatoes to cook when I was in the garage. It came out - ok. DH said it had good flavor, don't know what I was expecting but I didn't get it So maybe pot roasts are not what they used to be, eh?

Hello Annie, Dee, Michelle I have to go get ready - we need to run errands today. Have a good Tuesday chicks.

Morning all. Kind of overcast, and rain is in the forecast for later today. Hope it's after lunch and after I get home from work!

Ceejay – Yay for hitting your step goal. I don’t know if I’ll be hitting mine now that I’m cycling between home and the train. Even wearing the fitbit on my ankle, I don’t think the pedaling will register the same as walking steps. And then there’s the coasting… Filling out paperwork for SS – now this retirement thing is getting real for you!!

Shad – Feel better soon! Did the new BP med cause this?

Annie – Did you decide to take the day off work today? I hope at least part of it is relaxing for you.

Happy – Yes, it was nice to have the windows open for several days. But back to the furnace... it got down in the 40’s overnight. I’d have been fine with just closing the windows, but bf wanted the heat.

Hellos to Michelle, Dee & Susie!

Yesterday after work I got out and raked out the one garden bed alongside the garage, and a couple spots along the fence. I filled one garbage can with yard waste, mostly leaves. Most of the cleanup out there is done now, but the lawn needs mowing badly – the grass in the sunny part of the yard is very long.

I found a bike basket for sale on craigslist and the seller is right downtown. Today at lunchtime I’ll walk over and pick it up. It’s the type where there’s a holder that clips onto the handlebar/frame and then the basket itself hooks onto the holder. The basket has a handle and can be lifted off the bike. I like that it’s not permanently attached to the bike, because the bracket and basket can easily be moved to my other bike as needed.

I got up and worked out this morning. One Body Electric show is about 25 minutes long, including warmup & cooldown and usually about 4 exercise routines – today was quads, inner thighs, outer thighs and abs. The quad exercise was done on the floor and wasn’t as challenging as doing squats. Next time I’ll do squats instead. Then again, now I work my quads by pedaling my bike to/from the train.

Okay, I’ll get this posted. TTFN.

A quick post for me today. Running in hand means more frequent steps to see what is going on, but at least I am not making as many trips to the storage tank as I did yesterday. My legs felt like lead when I got home and were cramping big time
so far so good about the mishap with the back wash pit.
Talked to a social security agent a few minutes ago and he said that if I filed on May 2 that I should start getting the full amount for being 66. I can wait.
Also I will need to do my resignation letter again as I have the wrong starting date. I thought I started in 1991 but it was 11-30-1992 still to long for me to be here.
More later.

Good Morning/Evening all....

No cortisone shot yesterday, doc said nope, won't help. It is time for surgery. After much conversation and details about my ankle, I have to agree with him. I am going to wait til maybe mid to later June. Too much coming up in May. My ankle bones will be fused together, plus doc will scrape out the arthritis. It will be painful for a while, probably 4 months of recovery and won't be it's best till 10 months out. Gah.

Behind on everything here, will try to get back for personals later. Make it great, whatever it is....hugs.

Morning all. Sunnier and more mild than yesterday, so that’s nice.

Annie – Sorry you have to get surgery on that ankle, but I sure hope it gives you relief from the pain. Long recovery time… Wonder if you’ll have to use one of those scooters where one leg’s propped up to keep the weight off it and the other foot moves you along.

Ceejay – Hope things are getting back to normal at the plant so you can run things automatically and not have to monitor things manually.

Hellos to the rest of you! Hope you’re all having a good week.

I picked up my bike basket at lunchtime yesterday. Such a deal for $10. It hooked right onto my bike and it was nice to toss my purse in there for the ride home. This morning I used a couple tie wraps to affix it to the bike just in case someone would think to steal it. No one seems to mess with the bikes parked at the train station rack, but you never know... Anyway, when I want to use the basket on my other bike, I can just snip off the tie wraps and transfer it over.

I did a load of laundry last night. Haven’t figured out the right settings for the dryer yet. My laundry seems more wrinkled, but I think that’s a function of the large capacity machines. I probably need to do smaller dryer loads, and/or dry at a higher temperature setting?? I’ll figure it out eventually…

Watched another episode of Fargo last night. Made myself some popcorn and burned some of it. The smell wasn't pleasant, but not nearly as bad as the salmon stink bf caused a couple weeks ago, LOL.

Looks like we’re going to dinner for my friend D’s birthday on Saturday. Her b-day is actually tomorrow. She chose the same restaurant for the third year in a row... D & I might go up to Madison for an overnight getaway the weekend after next. Bf seemed to want me to go, LOL.

That’s it for me.
