Come one Come all - let's have a chatty week in here! Going to Curves this morning - 1st time in 2 weeks since I've been sick so we'll see how it goes. I just miss going - maybe will not do the whole circuit but just need to go. Hope to hear from you all soon!
Everyone is still sick in my house, and everyone but me has been to the doctor. Today was Hannah's turn, sometime this week will be my turn. Hannah has a sinus infection and now on an antibiotic. Mom still doesn't seem to be getting any better. In fact, maybe just a tad bit worse. If she's not getting a little better in another day or two, back to the emergency room with her.
The good news out of all this is somewhere over the last few months I have lost 5 pounds! When I had my daughter at the doctor's office, I got on the scales and it said 211 in big digital numbers. I was a little shocked, and tried it again thinking maybe I didn't stand on there long enough, but it was right! How 'bout that? Just when I should be a little heavier (pms time this week), I'm even lighter than I thought! Guess losing 5 # by valentines day is already met considering I thought my starting weight was 216. lol.
At least there is one thing good about being sick, I'm not hungry for junk food, and I found out I have lost a little weight. Oh, and I have absolutly NO DESIRE to smoke right now!!!

I have been busy this week, went and worked at H & R Block today, 1st time this season. It is still kind of slow yet, but hopefully things will get busy soon. In a couple of weeks I will also be working my other job going and assessing children in Indy area schools. So I will really be a busy girl.
KimV-So sorry you, your Mom and Hannah are all sick. Hope you all feel better really soon. Congrats on your new job that you do at work. I know it will be nice not to have to be on your feet all the time. And kudo's to you on your 5 lb weight loss, to think you have already made your Valentines goal, how lucky you are.
CJ-So glad you are feeling better and are back to going to Curves again. I went tonight after I got off H & R BLock, It felt good to be back to exercising. That is a good idea if you don't feel good to just do what you can. When I was just barely over being sick, when I got the flu last time, I just did maybe 2 times around, cause I was getting kinda light headed. Save the full workout for when you are feeling better. It sounds like you are starting the New Year right.

Just jumping in for a quick post here - sorry, it's gonna be short but want to get my daily post in. We've been gone all day today - Dick and I both had dentist appointments this morning - Dick's was scheduled, mine was an emergency type ... part of my bridge broke and I had to get it fixed. Then we stayed in Petosky for the rest of the day - stopped for dinner at the Casino - won some - lost some. But it was so nice to get out after being cooped up sick for so long.
I'm sorry to hear your family is all sick - If it's what I had it's a rough one! I am still not over it ... but slowly I'm getting my strength back - I think I'm gonna live! Congrats on the 5 lbs loss and the new job!
One of these days we're gonna get together on the phone! I only did Curves on Monday (barely made it thru) and on Wednesday (was a tweek easier) and will go tomorrow - I usually go every day Mon thru Fri - hopefully next week I can get back to normal.
Yes, I too hope we get more posts - from the oldies and newbies!
It's raining and a little miserable here today, but at least the temps aren't too bad. Keep hearing about a bad storm heading our way, and wouldn't you know it, it isn't supposed to hit until Sunday evening. Can't do it over the weekend when I don't have to work (except at H&R Block, but that is only a mile away). So, I guess I will end up getting up a lot earlier than normal on Monday, and hope I can make it to work. I just love winter. lol
I just signed up for a weight loss challange with the state of Indiana. The challange is to loose 10 pounds in 10 weeks, starting on Jan. 15 I believe. I figured I need to do something to motivate myself into loosing weight. And, if I quit smoking like I want to do, then need to stay motivated to keep the weight off. One of my excuses for not to quit smoking is I don't want to gain more weight.
I'm digging my scale out of my closet tonight, and going to think of someting to do for exercise. Maybe find my old "Sweatin' to the Oldies" tape I know I have around here somewhere. Hannah likes to dance with me, so maybe I can get her to do the tape with me. It will be fun to have her 'helping' me. lol
I went to the doctor today. I have a sinus infection and acute bronchitis. He told me, with my respitory problems, I should never let a cold go like I did. Well, I thought all I had was a cold that needed to run it's course. I know the common cold can't/isn't treated with antibiotics, but didn't realize it was affecting my lungs like it was. So now, I am on an antibiotic and a decongestant. I also have to cont. my regular daily inhalor, and add daily my short term inhalor for awhile. I usually only use that at work when the fumes really get to me. I dread using my short term inhalor as it makes me so shaky feeling and I feel like I need to eat to get rid of the shakes. At least I don't have to take any nasty tasting cough syrup as it's all in a pill form now. Got to find something good from all this, right?
Guess that is it for me right now. Gotta go and hit the books and get my weekly assignments done. I work at H&R Block all weekend, and won't have much time for school.
