It's time for a new week of talking On-Plan! This is the place for South Beach meal plan and food support, encouragement and questions.
Anyone, from any phase (1, 1.5, 2, 3, etc.) can post, and those who are new to 3FC are especially encouraged to do so!
This thread is for questions, sharing advice and strategies, and encouraging each other to stay on plan. It is not for chatting about daily life unrelated to this topic. Members have indicated that they would like to have chatting remain in the Daily Thread, so any posts that are off topic or chatty will be moved by the mods to the Daily.
People in different phases of South Beach post here so it will help everyone if you indicate what phase you're in when you post. Thanks!
While you may certainly find, from time to time, the need to ask for help after going off plan, remember that this thread is about staying on plan. When you share details of off plan foods you've eaten, it can upset, tempt, and otherwise frustrate other members, so please keep these details to a minimum.
So, share with us: How are you staying on plan this week?
How's it going for you?
Of course feel free to share your daily on plan menu...
Maybe it's because I am a teacher but I never outgrew the feeling I had as a kid that the year really starts in September (with all due apologies to January!)
I attempted Phase I at least 3 times this summer and never made it through more than 4 or 5 days. As the new month starts I am again committing to 2 weeks of clean Phase I to get me back in the groove.
I am going to limit my meal choices so I can stick with this.
Monday
B- veggie omelet, coffee
S- cheese stick
L- garden salad w/ deli ham, black beans
S-PB smoothie
D- baked chicken, green beans, cole slaw
S- ricotta creme
I will make a batch of Kalyn's egg cups tonight to eat this week for breakfast.
I don't think I have ever posted here. Might find ideas when I am "stuck" eating my go to foods.
B- Greek yogurt, NSA PB, Cocoa powder smoothie
L- 3 eggs sunny side up with Colby jack cheese
D 2 turkey italian hot sausage with spaghetti squash with fra diablo sauce
S assorted raw veggies and roasted red pepper hummus
I'm eating some fruit, so I guess I'm in 1.5. I'm trying not to eat grains though (and good thing, DD has choco chip cookies in the oven for her first day...so far not tempted!).
I'm eating the same thing this week again,
B: egg foo young casserole
L: chicken, feta, apple salad
D: varies - Tuesday will be chicken kabobs.
B my usual smoothie
L 2 turkey rolls ups with 4 bean salad
D turkey sausage with zucchini noodles and parmigiana cheese
S raw veggies and either hummus or cheese
Started SBD phase 1 yesterday and it has been a while since I last did the SBD diet. Please feel free to put suggestions or let me know if you see me doing anything wrong.
B: bacon
L: green beans
D: 3 oz of ground beef and cheese
S: pepper jack cheese stick, small pack of almonds.
I get snacky and want something to snack on in the afternoons. Please what are your suggestions? There are also times that I like something to eat before I go to bed. Ideas?
Welcome Kgremmy! You are not eating enough. Also, you have to have your two servings of dairy. I find that it really does help to accelerate the weight loss.
Thursday:
B: greek yogurt with blueberries and sunflower seeds
L: grilled chicken with LF guacamole and pea shoots
S: chai latte
D: not sure yet.
Today is going to be a busy day. I am leaving work at 12:30 to bring my son to an appointment and tonight we also have gym and that means eating out, probably at McDonald's (kids choice)
Today's menu:
B: boiled egg
L: 3/4 cup of lima beans with a little bacon
2 oz chicken
D: McDonald's (thinking a snack wrap no sauce, no wrap or a chicken sandwich no bun no sauce? Idea's)
S: Cheese stick and some meat and a slice of avacado
