Pb2
Anyone ever heard of this? A couple of weeks ago Dr. Oz had a show with ladies who lost a bunch of weight and some of their favorite products. 1 woman spoke about PB2 which is powered peanut butter that you reconstitute with water it has only 53 calories and 1 gram of sugar.
I ordered a sample from the company. Hoping I love it. I never really eat peanut butter anymore Id love to have some on a regular basis!

Does it have added sugar? I remember looking into it awhile ago and deciding against it because of the ingredients. It would be great if they've taken that out! I was getting peanut butter flour at Trader Joe but they stopped carrying it. I miss it, it was great for smoothies, peanut sauces, etc

Why add sugar to PB and remove the healthy monounsaturated fats that help lose abdominal fat and improve your blood lipid profile? PB is fantastic for making you full and satisfied. I eat it every day & relish it!

I'm with Anne on this. If you are following the book PB2 is not SBD friendly. It has added sugar that you can easily avoid. I do like the NSA peanut flour for added peanut flavor without using my nut serving for the day. I'm stil trying to find it online

Guys what is peanut flour? Does it change the consistency of smoothies or other things you might add it to?

It's just dried, sometimes partially defatted peanuts, not unlike almond flour. We used it in smoothies, peanut sauces and baking. there is at least one company in the south that sells it. I'm planning to order it online now that Trader Joe stopped carrying it.
The quick and dirty from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peanut_flour

I didn't know about peanut flour or I'd have already ordered some.
I did get the PB2 despite the sugar, it's not something I'm eating every day. I just got it to put in my smoothies. If I eat pb I usually eat the regular no sugar added kind that has just peanuts in it.

I'm lost... why the need for pb2 instead of just natural pb? Not knocking, just curious?

If you're concerned about calories it's a good alternative Jersey because it only has 53 calories instead of the almost 200 of regular peanut butter. That's pretty much the only reason.
