LAdies----I just had this conversation with a friend of mine last night who has been working for Starbucks for about 5 years. All of the frozen drinks need to have sugar in them because of the binding qualities--this I already new. Her information was even if you ask for sugar free non fat-or low fat, the amount of sugar in there is still going to be rather high because of the other flavors that go in. For example- caramel syrup, coconut shavings, mocha sauce, etc. The milk is definitely a culprit for added sugars but I'm not so much concerned for those as I am the other ingredients the baristas put in there. Remember, it's called LITE not SKINNY (SF/NF).
This was a very long discussion last night between my SBUX friend and about 4 customers standing in line.
