  • Hey ladies, hope you don't mind taking in a newbie to the Featherweights. I'm probably going to be in this thread for quite a while. Today I'm 139.2 which I'm elated about, but 129 would be absolute perfection for me.
  • hopeful, we meet again. Welcome! I'm new around here too, I look forward to seeing your posts about getting closer to your target. Like you I'm DYING to see 129, when I see that 120 something I'm going to be thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

    Today I'm at 133.8 which is great since yesterday I was at 135.6. My long run really helped with that.
  • I'm at 139 today, and 140 lbs is my "red light" weight that is the max I ever want to see, so I'm getting serious about weight loss. I'm taking it slow and steady though and hoping to lose 1 lb. a week and hit 130 by mid-Apr. This winter has been awful for me! My diet has been going downhill for the past year or so, and this winter has just made it worse. I look and feel my best between 125 - 129, and I'm committed to getting there and maintaining this year!

    To kick it off, I'm following the Amy's Kitchen vegan eating plan (http://www.amyskitchen.com/special_d...plan_day01.php) for two weeks, and after that I'll be using calorie counting and my own meal plans.

    I'm excited and I'm really hoping posting in this forum helps me keep my motivation! That's my biggest problem - staying focused over the long haul.
  • Hello Feathers & Banana I saw a fabulous drop this morning that put a huge smile on my face, 138.6. I'm pretty sure that TOM is about to arrive so I may not be smiling for a few days.

  • I have decided that my mini goal right now is to be 129lbs by March 9th. That is the day I leave to go on tour for a week, which involves a trip to Florence. 4 weeks to go. 4.4lbs to lose. I'm averaging just 1lb a week right now so I know it is possible!

  • Same today as I was yesterday, 133.8. I worked out yesterday and ate great, never drank any green tea though which is something I drink several times per day usually, I wonder if this had anything to do with no loss. Not worried about it.

    Cat86- Ooooooh, Florence, sounds great! Are you in a show/band? I think setting a mini goal if getting to 129 is a good idea. I'd like to be at 129 by Feb 26th.
  • Bananapancakes - I play in a string quartet, we are hired for lots of session work so I am going on tour with a band called the Charlatans on 9th March then on the 14th my quartet are flying to Florence to play at a wedding with a DJ from a Spanish club called Cafe del Mar. I dont know what the weather will be like in Florence in March but I'd love to be in a bikini!
  • Really looking forward to being out of the 130's! I got down to 130 last summer and then kept doing the up 2 down 2 thing for months. Gave up on watching calories and ended up @ 141 after the holidays. At 136.6 as of last weigh-in and losing slowly - I may be on this thread for a while! But I'm not giving up in 2011!!

    yay we both saw a drop. yesterday i was 130.8.. didnt jump on the scales today i just feel discouraged this morning for some reason... but i have been eating right and excercising so i know it will come off!!!! cant wait to get out of 130!!! hoping to see 129 very sooon!!!!!


  • @Ashley- Girl you're doing so good and you're so close. I'm shooting for 129 as well but I still have to navigate almost all the way through the 130's. Keep up the good work!
  • Finally dropped to 133.6 today! Not sure I should change my ticker til i'm 133.5 though... When do you all change your ticker?!
  • Ashley congrats!!! I dropped to 131.4 two days ago, but this morning I was back at 132.4 . 133 right now with clothes on, so probably more like 132. About to go out to dinner with my boyfriend... hopefully I'll be restrained with all the delicious restaurant food in front of me! Sorry for the crazy long details... hoping sharing this "out loud" will keep me accountable for the next few hours

  • Cat86, I change my ticker at the first opportunity, as soon as the lower number appears at all. I would change it if I were you.
  • cat 86, I've heard of The Charlatans, how exciting! Be sure to take a ton of pics and show us them when you come back from your trip! Glad to see you had a loss.

    Well, this is the third day I've been at 133.8 so I'm raising my calories intake and see what happens, I've been working out really hard so I'm sure I've not been eating enough calories. Not worried about it, just impatient because I'm so close to the 120's.
  • Hi, Everyone! I've just caught up on reading everyone's posts. It sounds like everyone is staying motivated! Cat- you totally can make your goal and be sitting on the beach in a bikini!

    It's rainy season so, everything has been flooded... so generators shorted out... so the internet/power is sporadic.. and frustrating. I had been going to the gym to do 1hr elliptical 5 times a week, but recently, every time I went 1) i wasn't really motivated so I would only do 30-45 mins or 2) the power was out. So, I ended up cutting calories. I've been using "Loseit" on my iPhone and I've been trying to stay under 900 calories (to lose 2lbs a weeks). But, sometimes I made goal... sometimes, I went to as much as 1300 calories. But, it's TOM, and i just weighed in at the end of the day and I'm 133! Im so shocked. So, I measured my waist and it's 26 inches with minimal sucking in!! I'm so excited!

    I think I'll make the goal of getting out of the 130s by March. Thanks for this awesome forum. It's so nice to read about other people's lives!
