Hey ladies -

I went to a nutritionist because I'm really concerned about weight gain this pregnancy. I've already gained ~5 lbs and I'm already 35-40 lb overweight. So my calorie recommendations are 1400/day in the 1st trimester (which I'm almost out of) and 1800 cals/day on the 2nd and 3rd. I just ordered the updated WW at home plan (my materials are out of date) but wonder if the approximate 50 cals = 1 point is still true or if that's no longer a reliable equivalent with the new plan? This is definitely our last child and I'd really like to not have 50+ pounds to lose after this pregnancy I have no excuses after this one, the baby weight has to go! Prior to kids I was 5'3" and 130, really want to get back there...

Everything I've read and heard says not to even try to estimate on Points Plus. It takes way too many things into consideration (fat, protein, carbs, fiber) and also takes into account the science of how our bodies process different foods. I would sign up for e-tools and use those (that's how I track.) They have a Points target for maintenance, try that and see what happens.

I really like the Points Plus system, but not being able to estimate points anymore is the one thing I dislike.
