I started out at 292.6 lbs on January 1st... as of this morning, I'm down to 263.0 lbs! That's a 10% weight loss so far!
I remember hearing doctors saying all the time that just maintaining a 10% loss is so much better for your heart and your health... and it always stuck with me that I needed to lose 10% of my weight before I could consider myself having made any significant, positive changes in my health. Today I can say that and I'm super excited!
I've still got 88 pounds to lose to reach my goal... which will equal a total of more than 35% weight loss overall.. but meeting this 10% mini goal makes me feel like I'm finally really doing some good for my body with all this hard work... so today, I'm celebrating this mini-goal victory!
