Ms.Gigi/Jeannie: Your hair looks fantastic. It makes you look much younger, too, but that could also be because your face looks thinner. Way to go staying OP. As my 8 year-old grandson would say, "You are stylin'."

Oh my gosh. What a wonderful thing to say! You are the best! I do plan to break the barriers of mind over fat so thank you for noticing and I am so glad to have you to be inspired by.

Jeannie-great hair and I do love your widows peak.

Reading all your posts about group exercise in Colorado makes me wish I lived closer. It would really be something to meet the people who support and cheer me on this journey. Did I ever tell you all that I met my husband online? I was living in NJ and he in KS. I told my worried friends (they thought he might be Jack the Ripper) that I knew him better than men I had dated several weeks. Inner traits of beauty and honesty show up that are masked by external forces.

NSV-went clothes shopping yesterday and got lots of new summer things... even a bathing suit It was so satisfying when I went into the tryon room and everything fit in a smaller size. I must confess that I worked my way up to the bathing suits.

My home scale has moved below the 150# mark. I haven't seen that number in at least 12 years.

They just tore off two pages of instructions and handed them to me. Didn't go over them didn't explain a thing. I met with the center manager and she was late for school so didn't have much time. We did however say that I would not start until Monday so that I could come in and ask questions. Basically it looks like I'll be adding a starch to lunch on M,W, F and the list of starches expands. I think that they give you a new list each week or so with more additions and servings.

I am not at goal yet (still have 9lbs to go) but will lose some more during stabilization. I cannot join for another 10 weeks as I would not be able to follow it while in France so essentially I am in the same boat as Jewlie. My bf is high but my weight is in range.

NSV: last night went out with DH's family who I haven't seen in about a month. They all noticed my weight loss... even my MIL. I guess 18 is the magic number. Was pretty good at Houlihan's for dinner and didn't notice a gain on the home scale today. I ordered 2 veggies instead of potatoes (they brought the potatoes anyway and I didn't even taste them). DH brought them home along with some of his dinner.

May go shopping this afternoon as most of my capris are too big. Treated myself to a pedi on Thursday. I hope I make the 20# board this coming week. The losses have slowed down a lot and really would like to accomplish that.
You are doing sooooo great. I wish they wouldn't just disregard us like they do. I know this is just a job and they go thru the steps, but for us it is HUGE. You are going to do great. We both will!!!

Thank you so much. That wi was both good and bad for me. I made their goal but to me it didn't mean anything because it wasn't the end. I made up my mind now and when I come back it is going to be great!

Forgot to mention~I DID get to sign the 30 pound board today!
30# board, 3#s and 36.5 inches. GREAT JOB!!!

(Now to see if my DH took the time to send some flowers and or a card to the hotel! Probably not, he usually figures he will make it up when I get home, he still is not seeming to understand that after the fact (is just not the same)! UGH[/COLOR]
Some flowers for you

Congratulations on all the great losses and the great NSV's. I love that we all hit highs and lows and different times. There's always a changing group pulling us through.

My little NSV today - went to a baby shower and didn't have a single thing off plan. It didn't hurt that people were freaking out and telling me I look like a completely different person. These are my camping friends, so they haven't seen me since the end of last year. It was a really fun afternoon and reminded me how far I've come on this plan.
Great job at the baby shower! That is wonderful.

I wrote down the nutritional info and I'm going to check with my center. I really couldn't find anything on the label that I think would cause them to say no. I am just wondering if any of you have already asked, tried the noodles, etc?
I don't know about these noodles, but have you tried spaghetti squash??? I love it.

There isn't anyone here that I wish the biggest success more for. If you feel ready for stabilization/maintenance, you should go for it! I wanted to tell you that my fat percent monitor at home says I have 21% body fat, while the tanita at MRC says I'm at 16%. You can only guess which one I go by. Fat percent readings can vary by 5%. You may be at 26% body fat right now! You just need to find the right fat% monitor. I would be curious to see what results you would get at my center.

I will be signing up for the 5K at Estes Park this week. Hope anyone here who wants to join us signs up soon. We could have a little 3Fatchicks mini reunion. Heck, maybe we could make it a yearly event to get together.

Jewelie, I also wanted to tell you and anyone else who might be interested in a running group, that I signed up for a running group in Fort Collins called "Peak to Peak Running". They put together small groups of runners with all types of abilities.
They are having an information meeting this Thursday, May 15th at 7:30 AM at Timberline Church, Room 204. PM me if you need more information or directions. I wasn't sure if you would still be out of town.
I was looking for a running group. I am gone from the 16th on....so I can't wait to go to this!

Thank you for your support. It means alot!

Mrs. Gigi.....I love your hair. It looks beautiful and like it has some swing to it. Now, take it dancin' and show the swing off!!!

You are soooo brave. I need to get a swimsuit and just keep putting it off! You're a hero! Congrats on getting below 150!!!!!

The best thing a mother can do is take good care of herself. That is what everyone here is doing.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
You all deserve it.

Lost 2 lbs since Friday and got to sign the 20# board today. Thanks Donuts for the Sea Thin idea, I think it really worked. I haven't lost this much in this short a time since the beginning. I know that the scale is just a number but even so I am happy. Spoke to another counselor today and she explained stabilization for me better than just handing me a couple of sheets.
