a weird food day for me. not quite sure what happened...

today:

25 gram protein shake

3 mexican turkey slices rolled with 1/2 slice swiss cheese each.

1/4 c soybeans
1 bon bel cheddar cheese

2 oz chicken, 1 slice tomato, 4 olives. [didn't stay down]

1 bon bel cheddar cheese [that's right 2 in one day!!!] and 2 slices melba toast

1 oz beef jerky

1/2 c cottage cheese with 1/4 c fresh blueberries

2 oz ham and 2 small tiny slices fried eggplant

i THINK i can avoid the second shake because it looks like i'm in the 70 grams of protein range. i hope.

Today as a stress reliever after day one of the audit, I had a relaxation dinner. Not smart, but I sure do feel better. That will be my weekly splurge.

B Smoothie

L Ham and cream cheese rollup (3), nectarine and brie

S handful of nuts

D Mushroom and spinach quesadilla with a side of black beans and rice with spicy chicken. (not much rice though)

Currently I am trying to get in the last of the day's water. I am not doing too good in the water department!

l - salad w/ 1can tuna, 1oz swiss cheese, ranch dressing

s - steaknmozzarella cheese w/onion&mushrooms, broc &caulifl

sn - homemade ice cream - 2 portions! no willpower, I guess

Jiff, I don't think I have seen you cheat since I became active on the board!? Um, that didn't come out right. What I meant was that you always do so well, this ice cream was not bad!

Yesterday (Monday)
4 bacon
2 eggs

1/2 cup tuna salad
1/2 cup pork rinds
1/2 oz almonds

3 oz beef steak
mixed salad
oil/vinegar dressing
s.f. jello & whipped cream

Total Cal for Day 1,561
73% Fat
24% Protein
4% Carbs

Today's Menu

2 eggs
2 oz ham
1 tbsp cream cheese
1 tsp butter
chopped green onion & mushrooms in omelette

Out for lunch to Appleby's
Blackened Chicken Salad
Only ate a tsp of the dressing coz it tasted sweet
Salad has chicken breast, shredded cheese, hard cooked egg. I figure about 12 gr. carb.
S.F. Jello & whipped cream

Baked Pork Spare Ribs (no BBQ sauce)
small salad with oil/vinegar dressing
Jello & whipped cream
1/2 oz almonds.

On FitDay this worked out to 1792 Calories
67% Fat, 30% Protein, 3% Carbs

Atkins Induction (just ignore the almonds and pork rinds ok?)

Default ice cream?? whoo??? ME?????

sorry jennifer. i didn't have the ice cream. sue did, and i hope it was wonderful!!!

as for not cheating!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! haven't you noticed i don't post my food EVERY day?????

well, let me put this into a different perspective. the first time i had two peanut M&Ms [really, just two!!!] i panicked!!! and i confessed it to the surgeon who said "GET OVER IT!!!" as far as he was concerned, this wasn't cheating, just normal behavior. and as long as i didn't eat the whole bag or anything, i was doing just fine.

and i've had pretzels, potato chips, doritos, bites of pie and cake, godiva chocolate, french fries, and other stuff. but truly, why am i saying this stuff in the plural???? it's maybe 2 regular pretzels or 4 minis, 3 doritos or potato chips. or two french fries, or 1/4 of a piece of chocolate. and i've even had two small sips of wine [and i'm not supposed to drink for another 6 months!!!]

i'm not perfect. believe me. but it's all ok as long as i limit everything. the hardest part is keeping calm about these tiny treats. it's still hard to believe that i haven't screwed this up beyond all hope.
