Hello! I found this forum after googling some recipes for my latest weight loss adventure. I'm hoping that the motivation I find here will help me keep going. I've always been the "big kid" but am trying to loose some weight and find a healthier me. I am a wife, mom of 2 and full time special ed teacher.
A friend and I recently got some paperwork from another friend about the IP diet and trying to do it together. I started a few days ago so here's to keeping at it!! I've checked out some of the forums and it looks like you all have a great support network. Thanks for having me here!
If you believe in yourself, you will do it this time. Imagine the finish line and the small triumphs you will achieve along the way. These could be losing 10 pounds or rewarding yourself after a milestone with a new outfit or hairstyle.
I'm counting calories and using Beck Diet for Life strategies and I find the Beck forum and the "Getting out of the <190s>" to be incredibly supportive groups. They have kept me from falling off the wagon and staying off--I have a connection with the people that has me admitting to mistakes and getting back on track rather than giving up.
I think that a good support system is key to success for many of us!
