I'm Ashley, I'm a 23 year old from New York! I'm a first year teacher. I'm new to this site but unfortunately not to weight/food issues.
When I was 14 I weighed 238 pounds, my mom shipped me off to weight loss camp for two summers. After those two summers I got down to 181 and a size 10. Best I've ever felt.
And then I left for college and got into a pretty bad situation. To deal with I ate, unhealthy college-buffet-style dining hall food. I gained almost 100 pounds, and was back to where I started essentially.
The summer after my freshman year I went to work at the summer camp I'd attended in high school. I started the summer at 275 and left at 255. From then on I tried really hard to watch what I ate and got some exercise in and I've been able to maintain 245ish for the most part. I spent a semester last year in London and walked around everywhere and lost some weight there (like 5-7) but gained it back when I returned.
The point is that I yo-yo. I get really inspired or try a new program and do really well, and then something happens and I just lose it. So I'm hoping joining this site will bring me some accountability, commitment, and support. =)
