Default Shhhh! I'm not on a diet...

At least that's what I'm telling everyone who asks. But really I've been on my first weight loss journey for about two months or so now. I've lost 7 pounds now and am totally excited. I've got about 30 more to go, which may take awhile since I don't want to kill myself doing it. I've noticed that I'm very preoccupied with this weight loss (not diet!) mindset and I have no one to relate to. That's why I found everyone here and I'm excited to be with like-minded people.

Hilde451, I'm basically counting calories. I'm using an app called LoseIt! that hels me to keep track throughout the day. It tells me how many calories to eat based on my current weight and my goal. I'm eating green smoothies and an egg or other protein source for breakfast every morning, keeping lunch low calorie and then I usually have plenty of calories left at the end of the day for a nice dinner. I've really upped my plant intake because of the nutritional bang for the buck and the low calorie count. And I'm walking on my treadmill almost every day. The app has been great to structure everything for me and to keep me accountable. I basically made this plan up myself, but it's working. I'm open to any suggestions if anyone reads this and has any ideas.
