Default New Here!

Hi everyone!
I joined this forum a couple of years ago, but forgot all about it.
So I'm going to make a new intro thread, as I work hard on my most successful and maybe LAST diet, ever!!
Within the past year alone I've already lost about 20 pounds. But now, I'm more concentrated than ever to make big life-style changes. I just got out of a five-year relationship and am now finding myself with an AMAZING opportunity to turn things around. I have a lot of free time now, which I spend either spending time with friends, going to the gym, or walking my dog. I also don't have a requirement to eat with another person, so I've been choosing healthier foods like salads, etc.
Anways, I'm very hopeful. And very excited about this community. Hopefully ya'll can help me, and I can help you. I look forward to making this big transition with all of you!!

Welcome! I'm a newbie too. Sorry to hear about the relationship, but it sounds like you are happy with the way things turned out. I began my diet after I got out of a horrible 3 year relationship. It definetely helps to be able to make your own choices and not have a negative influence! Plus, finding activities to occupy your time helps, especially if it is healthy activities! I'm Emily, by the way. Glad to see ya join =)

Hi Emily! Thanks for the warm response (:

Yes, the relationship was really dragging me down. I'm so happy and excited about working on me for a change! Regardless of how scary the dating world is..

I'm Crissy (: I'll be seeing you around, I'm sure! (:

(plus, major awesome points for being from the South, too!)

Hello, and to both of you.

Tesla, great attitude, even though you are going through a difficult time. Way to go in keeping that positive attitude, and congrats on the 20-pound loss. Keep it up!
