Default New & here to stay!!!

Trying to reach my first goal.....145! I was almost there once but that was pre July 2009, weight shot up after that, mainly due to a little surprise I got. She was born in March of this year and since then I haven't been able to get any lower than 172. After I went back up to 180 last week I figured something had to give. I realized what I needed was support. So after I searched online for some place that I felt at home, here I am, in for the long haul of getting rid of this weight. Any tips, pointers, basic help and support are welcome! I'm new to this but am here to stay!

Thank you so much for the welcome!

I breastfed her for the first month but she was loosing weight so I went to pumping and she went to formula. I was only able to pump for another month so I have been "dry" for a while now.

I'm doing weight watchers. Of all the diets I've ever tried before it is the only one that has worked for me because I'm a food lover, I want to eat all the time, this way I don't have limits to what I can/cannot eat just limits to how much so I eat much healthier because the lower point foods are of course the healthiest.

Nope, no diet pills. I used them in the past and they never worked, just made me jittery, sick feeling, or hungry. I do take a daily vitamin, green tea, and cinnamon. All okayed by the doc.

I'm a sugar junkie. I have found some alternatives. For my love of chocolate I've replaced it with Choco Vitatops. My coffee (extra white and sweet) I just recently found Almond Milk and love it. And white bread that is only 1 point for 2 slices.

Thank you so much again...just made my night

Hi there! I'm also a momma to two--the newest one was born in July this year! Congrats! I'm over 100 pounds overweight, and desperately need to get back to where I was. Good luck!!!

Thank you so much Sarah and Michelle! It is great to know there are other ladies here going through the same thing. All of my friends are tiny so they just don't understand. They don't get it that I can't pig out all the time and that I'm not interested in hearing about how their size 2 jeans are too big and they are having a hard time finding a 0. So thank you all for being here and for making me feel welcome. With support I know we can all make our goals!
Sarah, big congrats on the little one! We can do it, we can get this baby weight off! I don't know about you but I have only a couple pics of my newest and I together because I am so embarrassed about the weight. I want to have pics of us together. And Michelle....I looked at your pictures and you look wonderful! Congrats on doing so well, you have definately inspired me!

Welcome welcome welcome! Great for you to start... After my last baby I used breastfeeding as an excuse to eat more. I ended up 20 pounds heavier then my weight at fullterm pregnancy. wish I hadn't done that to myself! Anyway... it is great to find a place to come and get ideas and motivation... or to help others. Let me know if you need support!
