Default I'm a New Member

Hi, my name is Lisa, I live in Ohio, am 46 years old, have 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 3 cats. I live at home with my husband and two of my children. My husband and I both started the Medifast diet in August of this year. So far, he has lost 60lbs and I only lost around 35lbs, which is why I am so happy I was able to find a suport group. I have medabolic syndrome which means that I am weight loss resistant and I'm hoping to find others that are going through the same thing as I am and to also get help to find out what more I can do to lose this weight, as well as finding out if I'm doing anything wrong that's keeping me from losing more. It kills me because he over eats and he's still losing weight. I'm happy for him, but I feel like such a failure. That's about it, thanks for allowing me to join and I'm excited to meet all of you. Hugs, Lisa

It is a fact men lose easier than women. It sucks but it is true. 35 pounds is a great loss ! You are not a failure ! Concentrate on your own weight loss and don't compare with someone else. Everybody is different and the rate of loss won't be the same.

Hi Lisa, I'm new here too! I know what you mean about some men being able to eat whatever they want and lose weight. My best friend is like that. He eats as much as I used to but is still in shape. It's very frustrating. But, you know what? Life isn't fair. I guess we have a tougher situation than some of the men in our lives, and that's okay. We just have to work harder. I'm up for the challenge, are you?
