Unhappy 3rd time lucky!

Hey all.... well this is my 3rd time lucky on this website and dieting.... I have been offline for a while so forgot my email, username and password.... so i thought fresh start and new name!

Im yet to weight myself but i know last time i did around 2 months ago i was 17stone (238 pounds)... i really need to get more fitter.... I have to go to my doctors later on so im going to ask him to weight me etc... im hoping to join somewhere around my area thats carries out Weight Watchers meetings tomorrow morning....

I feel so p****d off and let down with myself because i have been here before typing very similar introductions.... but i guess all i can do is keep trying.... i will get there eventually!

As soon as i have been to the doctors in a few hours i will up date my weight and goal etc so you will see! Im also hoping to meet new friends and people to help and inspire me and support me.... I have hardly any will power =(

I just wanted to say good luck to you. I am also starting WW. I am doing it online, and I weigh in tomorrow after week 1.

I'm also saying "good luck!" but also a reminder that really, for this adventure, luck has very little to do with it. Maybe there's some luck invovled in finding a plan that really works for you but after that it's all up to you and sticking with it.

But if you really want it you can do it!

Hi Zoe,

It's really good that you're going to the Dr and joining a WW group. You're definitely setting off on the right track. I'm in the same boat as you really, I have started diets, been successful for a while and then given up and put the weight back on... but... this time it's going to be different. I think an online support group like this will be really helpful and if you think you're going to lapse, don't... just come on here and I'm sure someone will give you the motivation you need. That's why I'm on here now... I started my weight loss journey today and I'm feeling a tad hungry as I would usually have eaten all sorts of rubbish by now, I'm just distracting myself from going to the cupboard and eating my boyfriend's crisps. I think the first few days will be challenging but you just have to look past that and imagine yourself when you reach your goal. I'm aiming to be at my ideal weight by Christmas and it's going to take a lot of will power, so here goes! Have you tried finding pictures of someone who with a figure that you'd like to aspire to? Maybe you could stick them up somewhere i.e. on the fridge or cupboards door.. or if that's not possible with other people being in the house, you could stick them inside your wardrobe door. Also, drink lots of water.. or if you can manage it.. green tea to flush the toxins and excess fluid through. I think many of us don't drink enough water and so our bodies store fluid as they don't know when the next lot of water is coming. I'm going to aim for 2 - 3 litres of water/green tea per day. Lots of trips to the loo I think!

Hi FairyGirl,
Don't be upset with yourself. Good Luck this time around, and I would tell you that if it were your 30th time around!! Lol. I can't truly grasp it yet completely either, so you are definitely not alone.
