Default Newbie saying Hi!

Hi all I'm Jamie and I'm from New Orleans. Been on Ideal Protein since 8/1. Last Thursday was my first WI and I was down 6.5 lbs. Hopeing it's up to 10 this week.

I've been reading and lurking (had trouble getting activated) but all of your journeys have been really helpful for me.

Glad to see someone else from Louisiana!!! Im in Baton Rouge and I have been on the diet since June 6 and so far I have lost only 24 pounds so far. I wish could have a week of -6 lbs! I would be at my goal then lol.

You don't post you're stats..and the truth is shorter folks start to lose at a slower pace a little faster than some of the taller people...and once everyone is close to goal..it can take a while to get that last few darn pounds off!! I consistently averaged about 2.7-2.8 lbs a week for about 4 1/2 months, then the last 8+ weeks its been much slower. I'm not complaining.. (and no one should ever say.." I only lost ___")!! Every bit counts and most of us fight for every pound we take off. I'd say more of us experience the 2-3 pound range losses than the dramatic numbers some report. How about inches and size in clothing? Is that changing? Are people noticing? All of the NSV are what really mean you are accomplishing what you set out to do! Also... if you are exercising...and at some point...you gotta start...the toning process builds muscle...and things can appear to have slowed down when in fact...there is just a (good) change in body composition.

In 7 months I've almost reached my initial goal...and I'll go for a few more pounds if I can...but know once I hit that first goal, it may take me as long to do another 10 lbs as it took me to do the first 50!

Congrats on your success...PATIENCE...If you only have 6 more pounds to go...you'll get there! And it won't be that long..Nice job! You have our admiration!!

Hi,
I started IP last week, first weigh in is tomorrow. My own scale tells me I am making good progress but I know it is a journey. My goal is to lose 60 pounds . Looking forward to hearing about all of the good things you all have learned!

Hi newbies and welcome! I've been on plan for 8 weeks. I've lost 22 lbs. it's a little slower than others and it bothered me for awhile but no longer. I no longer have those 22 lbs in my life, slowing me down!
