Hi everyone! Had my WI#4 today and lost 5.2lbs for a total of 21.2 lbs in 4 weeks. I'm so happy and grateful I have been able to do this program. I get a bit emotional thinking about it, my family has had a rough few years. This is the first thing I've done for ME in a long time and I'm very proud of myself. I feel so strong.

I believe the chili is a restricted, so make sure when you have that for lunch you don't have another restricted for snack at night. Also, my coach does recommend limiting 'extras' such as Mio, Splenda, Walden Farms, Miracle Noodles, etc to 6 servings or less because they do have negligible carbs and calories that can add up if not taken in moderation.

Also, some folks just take a little longer to jump into ketosis...keep it up and be sure to update us with WI#2, there have been a few folks here that had an awesome week 2!
Great to know! Thanks! I was getting a little dependant on the Mio....I think trying lemon or something else will be the way to go. As for the chili...WOW...I didn't even notice that on the restricted list...Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Definately will keep you all posted on my success in the next few weeks. And once again, congrats to you for YOUR success, you are all inspiring and I love that!

Wow Annabo! That is really great!

You should be proud, because you are an amazing person. I am so glad you are doing something for YOU. if you are not healthy and happy, you cannot be there for others.

So good for you! I am super happy for you!

Great job! It is nice to see hard work pay off. I was going to ask you about eggplant. I think you posted yesterday or the day before about it. How did you cook it and what did you have it with? I have NEVER cooked it and have only eaten it in a lasagna at Olive Garden.

1. Cauliflower and brocolli are BOTH high in carbs so I would limit those to every other day and not eat them every day.
2. Try having your "restricted" in the morning instead of at night. The reason I am suggesting this is because those are higher in carbs and cals and take longer to burn off. Having them in the morning you have all day to burn them off.
3. Some clinics don't allow MIO because the pancreas sometimes thinks its a sugar and will slow your losses. Everyone is different, I use it but not very often. I usually do it every now and then usually just squeeze some lemon juice in my water and that works.

You are right YOU can do this....the progam WORKS....believe in YOURSELF!
The support here is absolutely amazing. I also had NO idea about the cauliflower and brocoli carbs..hhmmmm....They are my favourite veggies. So maybe trying green peppers and mushrooms will be a bit safer. Your knowledge in the program is amazing! And thanks for the Mio tip....

Congratulations! And I can relate....Doing something for "me" has been a challenge as well. Always making sure everyone else is ok, and forgetting about the important one. Well my family is important too, but it sure makes a difference when the source of THIER happiness, is happy too.

Personally, I never really 'counted veggie carbs' - but I did try to balance the "carbier" vegetables (cauliflower) with "lighter" ones (celery) and definitely had a variety over the whole week. You should look at the Select Veggies list, pick something new, and try it twice!

From an old post: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...e-veggies.html

Asparagus (1c, 134g) 5 carb - 3 fiber = 2 net carbs (3g sugars)
Broccoli (1c, 91g) 6 carb - 2 fiber = 4 net carbs (2g sugars)
Brussel Sprouts (1c, 88g) 8 carb - 3 fiber = 5 net carbs (2g sugars)
Cauliflower (1c, 130g) 6 carb - 2 fiber = 4 net carbs (2g sugars)
Cabbage, green (1c, 89g) 5 carb - 2 fiber = 3 net carbs (3g sugars)
Celery (1c, 100g) 3 carb - 2 fiber = 1 net carb (2g sugars)
Cucumber w/peel (1c, 133g) 3 carb - 1 fiber = 2 net carbs (1g sugars)
Green beans, cooked (1c, 125g) 10 carb - 4 fiber = 6 net carbs (2g sugars)
Kale, fresh (100g) 10 carb - 2 fiber = 8 net carbs (0 sugars)
Mushroom, portabella (100 g) 5 carb - 2 fiber = 3 net carbs (2g sugars)
Mushroom, white (1c, 70g) 2 carb - 1 fiber = 1 net carb (1g sugars)
Onion, raw (1c, 160g) 15 carb - 3 fiber = 12 net carbs (7g sugars)
Red bell pepper (1c, 149g) 9 carb - 3 fiber = 6 net carbs (6g sugars)
Rhubarb (1c, 122g) 6 carb - 2 fiber = 4 net carbs (1g sugars)
Rutabagas (1c, 140g) 11 carb - 4 fiber = 7 net carbs (8g sugars)
Sauerkraut (1c, 142g) 7 carb - 4 fiber = 3 net carbs (3g sugars)
Snowpeas (1c chopped, 100g) 7 carb - 3 fiber = 4 net carbs (4g sugars)
Summer Squash (yellow/zucchini) (1c, 110g) 4 carb - 1 fiber = 3 net carbs (2g sugars)
Turnips (1c, 140g) 8 carb - 2 fiber = 6 net carbs (5g sugars)
