Default Trouble eating all the veggies & weight loss lacking

Hi, I have been doing IP for about 2 months. I have been doing okay so far, with only a few cheats due to going away and having a hard time getting back on track.
I have lately been having a problem with getting all the veggies in. I just don't feel like eating that much anymore. Am I hurting myself by not eating them. I don't understand this diet in that I'm not eating all the refined "white" carbs that I used too eat (Bread, bagels, pasta, cakes, cookies, etc), shouldn't I still be losing weight?
I am feeling alittle frustrated because my coach told me on average women lose about 3 lbs. a week so I feel like I should have lost 24 lbs in 2 months, not 16. I'm 8 lbs short...
Thank you and I appreciate any help, suggestions and words of wisdom.
Corinne

Yes, you really do need to eat all your veggies! If you aren't eating enough calories your body will not release the fat, it will store it instead! Make sure you are following your sheet and eating all your food, salt and oil too!

Exactly true! Take things one day at a time, follow the protocol and you will lose weight...good luck to you! I know what it's like to be frustrated! Don't give up!

I've been at this exactly 2 months today and it is only THIS WEEK that I'm starting to really "understand" this way of eating and how it works. I really didn't think about how many carbs I was eating, and that the "nibbles" here and there do make a difference. This really is a diet that has a "science" component to it and you need to follow the "recipe" to make it work the most effectively.

Getting in all of your veggies is absolutely something we have to do. Think about it - we are eating less than 1000 calories a day - so we have to make sure those calories count. We eat lots of good protein, and the veggies provide necessary fiber, vitamins and minerals. If we aren't eating enough of what we should, our bodies go into starvation mode and will hold onto every bit of fat they can.

Also, you can't get hung up on the "3 lbs per week" statement. Every body gives up weight differently. Check out the signatures of folks who post - look at how many of them experienced weeks where they lost no weight at all. Eventually your body WILL respond if you follow the diet exactly. Just give it time, and trust the program.
