Well today I start week 6 of IP! Yesterday was a shocking -4.6lbs WI loss, which I was not expecting as I have been having hormone and TOM issues since I started. I still don’t see the weight loss, I still look in the mirror and see the ‘fat’ me, I’m sure my prospective will change in time. I cannot wait until my next WI and be out of the 230’s forever! My main focus over all is to be out of the 200’s as it’s been 4 years since onederland! Have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend everyone! Wish me luck for Monday its moving day for me, the hubby and the dogs and that we do NOT get any SNOW or Rain up here in Alberta!

You're TOM will be effected because there was estrogen trapped in our fat stores and now that we're burning fat, it's being released into our bloodstream. The extra estrogen makes our body think it's that time of the month. It's completely normal - I had it and occasional spotting the first couple weeks of the diet.

I’ll tell you my experience and this… sorry if it’s TMI but I wish someone had warned me about this! I have been on birth control for 10 years, never had an issue. When I started the diet my TOM came 1 1/2 weeks late, since then I have not stopped spotting for almost 4 weeks now, oh yes I said it 4 weeks! My coach told me yesterday that she wants to put me on the IP cleanse next week to try and see if that will help my hormones balance out. My other option is to go off Birth control for 2 months and then start it again and see if that helps. It doesn’t affect everyone…. So you might get lucky! Again any diet that has rapid weight loss will mess up your TOM in either one way – you have it ALL the time or you NEVER get it!

Default Cruciferous Vegetables

Does anyone have a problem with eating too many cruciferous vegetables? They gave me hives. With the exception of asparagus and lettuce almost everything falls in that category. I am struggling with the IP diet. First week was great, this week is challenging finding the right balance. I was given a lot of drinks for breakfast, and they just don't satisfy me. Am I being to difficult? Evidentially, my coach made several substitutions because what I got didn't match the menu plan. I accidentially drank one of my lunch drinks for breakfast too, so that threw things off a bit.

Happy Friday!
The Whosh fairy did visit me this week-- WI#9(?) down, wait for it...7.5 pounds AND 2 inches off my hips! Makes me very happy and ready to keep on working the diet. I had no loss last week, but thought that I was retaining water and must have been.

Hope evryone has a great Friday!

Absolutely gorgeous day here in No Virginia. I was down 2 lbs at weigh in this week, so I'm happy, can't wait to get to the 150's. I think I will go to Tyson's and buy a new Vera wallet as a reward. They just released their summer cools. They are so bright and happy! Congratulations to everyone on their losses this week. Big challenge next week though, I will be out of town for 5 days. Will try my best to stay OP. Going to Green Bay for USA Hockey Nationals. Anyone else going there or live there?
