Default Let me tell you why.....

This is why I think people should NOT weigh everyday.

Mon (4th)-1
Tues +1.2
Wed -1.6
Thurs 0
Fri +0.8
Sat 0
Sun -1
Mon -1
Tues +0.6
Wed +0.6

My weigh in is tomorrow and as of now I have lost nothing. Well, I've lost and gained all week as you can see. If I hadn't weighed myself at all since Thursday whatever my loss is tomorrow (please Lord let there be a loss) would be a good surprise. The ups and downs are messing with me big time. That is why I will be weighing tomorrow (since it's WI day) and then I will let myself peek on Mon (1/2 way point) and then I won't look again until Thursday. The next week I will try to just go Thursday to Thursday.

Just my 2 cents!

You sound like me this week. For 5 days the number stayed the same on the scale at home, I mean it did not move. Then I went to my week 3 weigh in and stayed the same there too, I did not lose anything! So I am back to the basics with no restricted this week and drinking lots of water. If I don't lose next week I will think there is something wrong with the program.

You are so right. When my weight fluctuates like that my mind starts playing the numbers game and it dictates my whole day. I wake up every morning hoping to have won the scale lottery then may end up disappointed. It's soooo tempting though!

I weigh every day... it has helped me to realize that weight-loss is not linear... However, if I stay on plan - I WILL eventually see the numbers on a downward trend. Everyone is different, but that is just my experience. See below.

I know! It's crazy how 1 measly pound can make your day go from good to bad or vise versa. I've let my weigh in dictate how my day goes too many times! I'm done being that crazy lady!

I do have to say, even though the scale plays with my emotions, my clothes let me know Im on the right track. The scale may not be moving but the inches are!

Measuring is something I only do once a week. Before this I only did it once a month. And I am also in clothes I hadn't dared wear in months. It's kind of funny because I'm getting compliments on my clothes at work even though they are old. They've just been hiding in my closet so long people havne't seen them in forever. Nobody has mentioned the weight loss as of yet though. I think that messes with me too. But seriously, 10 pounds! Who's going to notice? Hopefully I can double that in the next few weeks.

Do you mind if I ask if you were on plan the whole time during those weigh ins?

You are doing fab! And it is normal to be discouraged once in a while... but think of where you will be 6 months from now IF you stay with it.

I am like you and got discouraged the other day, because of no cheats and the scale went up, so I am only weighing in at my clinic 1X/week. I think otherwise I will get upset and let it ruin my ride on the IP highway.

I refuse to torture myself. If I am following the plan and being accountable to myself once a week is enough. I till come
