Default 4 week plateau, time to shakes things up

I'm about 1/2 way to goal and have hit a stall. I am considering a low carb option for a few weeks to see if I can get the scale moving again. I've done WW and calorie counting but totally new to the world of carb counting. Can anyone give ideas about which is the best plan to follow???

What have you done to optimize your calorie counting plan?

Are you eating enough? Are you eating too much? Are you drinking enough water? Is it time to tweak your exercise?

I'm very hesitant about changing dieting methods mid journey, IMO this leads to yo yoing, but if you think it will help, give it a go. However, I think you'd have better luck looking at what's going on with your current diet. Have you tried zig zagging your calories, this has worked wonders for me. Here is an example of a zig zag schedule and the one I use.

M 1600-1700
T 1300-1375
W 1775-1875
Th 1600-1700
F 1450-1550
S 1900-2100
Su 1600-1700

The idea is that it keeps your body constantly guessing because after a long period at a consistant calorie level your metabolism slows down. You can zig zag for just a couple weeks or permanently, I've done it permanently and have been losing 1-4lbs a week for 4 weeks or so. Before that I was allowing myself higher calorie days on the weekends and I haven't plateaued yet (fingers crossed we keep it up). But the other thing that's been happening is that every 10 lbs or so I jump up the intensity of my activity slightly because I'm feeling more fit. Good luck with whatever you decide.
