Am I the only one in shock that this is week 6 of the challenge? Time is going by so fast. This was a wierd week for me. My calories burned and consumed are low but I have had a very stressful week at work. I had been walking every day at work with some co-workers and we have been so busy we only walked 1 day this past week. I am feeling sluggish and out of sorts so today we are resuming our walk. Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

One thing I would recommend for those not losing the weight like the GWF estimates you should be, aside from just logging calories try to follow the macro-nutrients as well. Not obviously, but I found that I was getting VERY little protein in my diet. The last couple of weeks I have increased my protein and I definitely think that is helping my weight loss.

Also my sorority sister (who is a fitness model) says that when you adjust calories in your diet, you should give it ATLEAST 4 weeks to see how your body will react over time. For instance, as most of you know I upped my calories to 1700-2000 after staying around 1400-1600 for over a year and the first couple of weeks the scale did not really move but the last few weeks it has been. Now I am focusing more on getting more protein in my diet. I am also adding strength training twice a week, which I had not been doing before.

So just some suggestions, but DON'T GIVE UP. We all have those moments of frustration. I actually broke one scale a couple of months ago when I was TWO months into a plateau.

I kicked up my walking this week to include a different path that has a long incline so I think that is helping. Honestly I am surprised to see any movement on the scale. I went out to eat ALOT this week and so many things I logged on my food log were estimates. I am sure I was severely off on most of them. The scale is still moving downward so that is fine by me!

Hey, everyone! 11 weeks left in this challenge and I just got my GFW this week, so I'd like to join the challenge late, too. Starting weight (as of Wednesday) 209.6. I'm aiming for 2.5 pounds off a week, to end at 182.1. I'm excited!!! That would be a fine way to start the summer.

I'm not going to post my burned and consumed anymore just because it's a pain for me to figure. Haha... and I don't have a lot of time to post this. I'm kinda bummed that we're half way and I'm not at 50%... but I'm happy that I continue to lose. This week I walked over 16 miles in 4 days. My longest walk was Sunday and I did 6.2 miles. I was pretty stoked! So glad warmer weather has started to make appearances. :-)
