And I rarely drink any of it. Rarely being once or twice a year if that much. Usually the two times are when I'm driving to school in August and when I'm drving back home in May for the summer. It keeps me awake on the road...all six hours on one can of soda!
I don't like the taste and it's not refreshing to me at all. And, for the most part, I think they all taste exactly the same.
If I do drink it it has to be clear. My choices? Diet Sprite, Diet 7up, or Fresca.
"coke" I grew up in California, lived in Tennessee a few years, and now am in Washington state where I'm out of sync with all the "pop" drinkers! My "coke" of choice is diet coke & diet dr. pepper.
Does ANYbody else remember Canfield's diet chocolate soda? OMG, I miss that. I can find it online, but it's really hard to rationalize the cost with shipping. It really does taste like chocolate.
Well, it has always been either soda or coke for my family. And me, I'm a Jones Soda fan and I really, really like Sierra Mist Free. I also advocate Waist Watchers it is the absolute best soda/coke ever.
In this part of Canada, we call it a "soft drink". I used to drink bottles and bottles of diet Pepsi and Gingerale but can't hack it now. Water for me these days.
Growing up in AR and CA it was coke and I drank Dr. Pepper, sometimes Pepsi. Now it is either coke or soda and I drink mostly caffeine-free Diet Coke, sometime Diet-Pepsi if they don't have diet-coke. A lot of people here though call it soda or soda pop.
Like all the other Southern Gals everything is "Coke" when I'm talking soft drinks. I drink either Diet Coke or Pepsi One - just depends on which is cheaper that week.
SweetnCrazy, I'm with you on probably drinking too much Diet Coke. When I got hired at this company 5 years ago I was THRILLED about one of the perks--they keep a whole frig full of soft drinks for employees to raid. Completely free. We always have diet coke and diet pepsi and generally either diet dr pepper or diet 7-up in along with the sugary ones. Oh...and V-8s and snapples.....(it wasn't the drinks that got me, it was the damn Snack Cabinet! I think everyone new here gains 15 pounds the first month or two!)
I call it pop, but I think soda sounds cooler, lol! I drink Sprite Zero, it's the lightest pop I can find, I find everything else to strong, even other diet pops.
I used to call it pop. When I moved to OH I found out that being from the west I was supposed to call it soda, so they thought I was weird. Now I call it soda oddly enough, but they're really interchangable to me. My roomie in OH was from Georgia and it was all Coke to her. As some of you mentioned, they say "what kind of coke do you want?", I think that's so weird, but it's entertaining the different little cultural things within our different parts of the country!
I don't drink soda anymore, but my favorites used to be: Dr. Pepper, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and Vanilla Coke (which I head is off the market now).
I call it coke also. No matter what it is. Must be a southern thing. I don't drink it too often, but I do like Coca-Cola or Cherry Coca-Cola. Not a fan of Pepsi.
Soda here. I like Diet Dr. Pepper and Sprite Zero. I try to keep it out of the house for the most part though...My 4 year old would drink it morning noon and night if we let her!
My son who has never really like coke or pepsi and always preferred milk or water - wish I could say he got it from me loves Jones soda. Some of the flavors remind me of the old Nehi brand. Anyone remember that?
